Minera v0.3.3 is out!

* ...(Note, there are known bugs: https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/issues/17 - https://github.com/dmaxl/cgminer/issues/15)

Hi...

While using SSH can I update straight from v0.3.2 without losing my existing config?
To update from v0.3.2 to v0.3.3 can I just do a "git pull" command?
Do I have to switch to a certain directory prior to running the git pull command? If so, which one?

The update from the dashboard works well.

However, you can always do it by hand. Just type:

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all
sudo git reset --hard origin/master
sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

Again, thanks for your quick response.

I will do that now.

There are bugs, is right.

I just upgraded to the v0.3.3 then record my Raspberry Pi and then realized that I have no WEBUI status for my G-blades.  See 1st pic below.
However, I know it's mining because the remote screen is showing me that it is mining.

Webui Pic:

TUI of bfgminer v4.5.0 mining status via remote not reflected in Minerals WEBUI:

Any suggestions?

How can i revert back to v0.3.2?  Would it be the same command as suggested in the previous post before this one written to vabchgent?

It's weird, what do you get while running if you point to:

http://<ip>/minera/index.php/app/api?command=miner_stats
http://<ip>/minera/index.php/app/stats

EDIT: Please I need the miner conf you are using too (you can hide the pools if you want)

Hi in willing to help ya but can you help me with this?  (Remember I'm a Noob at this)

Do I just type:
http://<ip>/minera/index.php/app/api?command=miner_stats
http://<ip>/minera/index.php/app/stats

...on the command prompt using SSH?

Where is the miner.conf file located?

Doh!!!

I get a "HTTP 404 Web page not found error" with both.
However the hashing stat page came up about 10 minutes later ten went down & was unavailable for about 5 minutes.  It came back up one more time after a reboot. I don't get it.
OK.  What about the miner.conf file?

Is this error rate normal under Minera normal with 8 G-blades & a Raspberry Pi model B or is my rig really f'd up?

Hey Michelem,

A couple of things.

The new Website is incredible.. Nice work.

the Github link is gone off the initial post in this thread. (or maybe i missed it)

The most recent img file download is coming down corrupted in its zip format. tries 2 separate systems, same on both.

Hi michelem.
This whole time I was remotely managing this rig.  So I decided to wait until I got home.
I came home & found that my Minera server was boot looping every 30-45 seconds.  Nothing I changed when upgrading from the v.0.3.2 to v0.3.3 version.

I'm going to download a full fresh copy & see how that takes instead of upgrading from an existing pre-installed v0.3.2 image.

My HW error rate is always in the range of 1% with any of the three miners supporting the G-Blades. In your situation I would do the following basic troubleshooting:

1 - Use cpuminer (minerd). According to michelem it has the best support for the G-Blades.

2 - Double check your USB stuff, both cables and hubs. Are they all well connected? Are your hubs well powered?

3 - Is your power supply enough to power all your devices? That would cause a lot of errors.

4 - Start with only four devices.

5 - See what happens for one hour.

6 - Add another four devices. Check.

7 - Continue...

8 - Unless you have a lot of faulty devices, you have to be able to mine with HW error rates very close to 1%, if not less

Good luck

I'm using minera with gridseed for a long time, it works fine, thank you!

Today i got 2 NEW Zeus Hurricane X6 (64 chips, 240Mhz, 10M hash rate, 230W on wall each)

I tried minera 0.3.2 and 0.3.3

CGminer Dmaxl Zeus works with --zeus-chips 64 --zeus-clock 240, but i got 99% HW and about 1M hash rate each

Bfgminer works with -S zus:all --set zus:chips=64 --set zus:clock=240, i got a lower HW (about 20%) and get 7M hash rate each

i tried add --zeus-nocheck-golden for CGminer or add --set zus:ignore_golden_nonce=1 for Bfgminer, i get same result

any ideas?

PS: It's works fine with Zeus Official Raspberry IMG, 10M hash rate each, but that is so ugly Wink i try to copy their cgminer to minera, it can work, speed fine, but all minera UI(data) stop woking (different api output duo to json broke?), if you want, i can upload that cgminer binary file

Hey Michelem,

i still have no luck with my NEW Zeus Hurricane X6 (64 chips, 240Mhz, 10M hash rate, 230W on wall each)

with minera 0.3.3, best speed is using Bfgminer, i got 6-7M hash rate each, 20% HW, if i use CGminer Dmaxl Zeus, i will get 99%+ HW

but Zeus Official Raspberry IMG works fine, i can get 10M hash rate each

is there a chance you can get Zeus Official Raspberry's cgminer binary be the fifth option for minera? i try copy it manually (backup CGminer Dmaxl Zeus and rename to it) , it can work, but all minea's web infomation stop rolling

Yup.  Been thru all the hardware issues these past few weeks while on the Raspberry Pi with Minepeon.

All hardware is new including a second self-powered USB 2.0 24 port hub, shorter quality Monarch USB 6ft cables & a 2nd new Raspberry Pi (just incase someone said "hey maybe your stuff is faulty", eh-eh.)

Now switching over to CPUminer (minerd).  Wow!!! look at that.  A frequency slider.  Someone mentioned I should use this when I was trying to use BFGminer but it wasn't present while using the BFGminer option.

I just noticed that what someone was saying before about an incomplete copy of the latest Minera v0.3.3 is incomplete.  I can't open it when it's done d/ling onto my system for the 3rd attempt.

I was able to get a Thunder X6 to run properly in minera by making sure --nocheck-golden and --ltc-debug were enabled.  If they are not it was 99% errors.
I hope that helps you out.
I used the Maxl cgminer.

Clock of 240??

EDIT:
I think stock is 328 and most run it at 340.... maybe that's your problem, it would explaine your low consuption at the wall...

I take that back, I had the X3 in mind...

i think X3 and X6 use different usb chips then

Zeus Official Raspberry IMG: https://mega.co.nz/#!h8ZTkYCB!xAJWXrF2JNOQN0d5IlTAtjQGK9kuMwsC2Pwi2gzcFQg (from https://zeusminer.com/user-manual-ver-1-0/ )

and i think their source is: https://github.com/zeusminer/cgminer_zeus

so you use -zeus-chips 64 --zeus-clock 240 --zeus-nocheck-golden --ltc-debug ? which minera version are you use, 0.3.2 or 0.3.3?

i tried --nocheck-golden but not --ltc-debug, i will try it now

Clock of 240??

EDIT:
I think stock is 328 and most run it at 340.... maybe that's your problem, it would explaine your low consuption at the wall...

I take that back, I had the X3 in mind...

is there a way Bfgminer can use different Frequency to different miner?

i found one of mine should use 232 and other should use 224 for get best hash rate / power usage, about 19M and 460W total
when i use 240 to both, i get 18M and 500W total

EDIT: found it

-S zus:/dev/ttyUSB0 --set zus:chips=64 --set zus:clock=236 -S zus:/dev/ttyUSB1 --set zus:chips=64 --set zus:clock=224

They use the same chips but different freq and lower power to achieve the results.

--ltc-debug should be --zeus-debug but it not help, still 99% HW

i think X3 and X6 use different usb chips then

so, why X3 can use CGminer Dmaxl Zeus while X6 can only get 99% HW ?
