Ok My Mother lives in Kansas 900miles away. She has a 1992 Firebird Formula 350cu that is in pristine condition with new wheel bearings, brakes, tiers, starter, radiator, and paint job. My mother is willing to give it to me if I send her money for gas and a car dolly. Gas will be about $600 and the car dolly is $400. If I don't send her the money by Friday she is going to sell it to some guy for $1,500. This car only has 80k miles on it and is worth close to if not over $5k. If someone is willing to give me a loan I will pay them $1,500 in BTC within 2 Months. I have wanted this car sense I was a small child when my parents first got it. It means a lot to me and I can't stand to let it go.

You guys are being silly, I really would like this car, if you think I'm trying to scam you I'm not. I'm willing to take a video of me outside my house with a GPS so you know where I live so you can come and kill me if I don't pay you back.

But if 10 people were willing to give me smaller loans the 50% for 2 months would still stand.

This car only has 80k miles on it and is worth close to if not over $5k

there are several solutions here.

1.) title loans are trivially easy to get.  obviously, that is not a bitcoin-related solution though.

2.) offer to do the equivalent of a title loan directly with a bitcoin lender (e.g., offer title as collateral)  of course, make sure to have a contract that ensures that you can (and must) buy the car on a certain date at a certain amount, and only accept the loan from a trustworthy bitcoiner.

3.) perhaps there is a bitcoiner with a car dolly who will transport it with you paying for gas but accepts your promise to pay for the dolly rental later.  then the only up-front money you need is the gas money and thus it is a little easier to borrow than the full $1K.  again, you'ld need to trust the car hauler.

4.) if physically moving it off mom's driveway is why there is a friday deadline then perhaps for rent in Kansas is another driveway, possibly for rent from a bitcoiner.

She will sell it if I don't come up with the money by Friday. If there was someone with a car dolly near buy that would be great. The car has been garage kept also.

if that thing is worth $5k, I am sure you can easily get a $1k loan from the bank

I think it would help if you addressed P4man's question. Is your mom just "strange" or super impatient or in a huge rush to get cash for some reason, or does she just not expect you to come through?

When you pay back $1500 in BTC, is that based on the exchange rate when you are lent the coins, or when you return them?

OK so you really need about $1000.  Let's use the current price of about $5 per BTC so you would need 200 BTC.

You are promising to pay back 300 BTC in two months.  Let's assume for the momement in two months BTC just go up to $7.50 per BTC:

300 x $7.50 = $2,250.

And they could be higher by then, right?

From what I can tell you are not a miner so you would have to buy them on the open market, right?

Edit:  best course of action is to get one of your friends or family to loan you the $1000.  They may do if for free or would be happy to get even 10% APR on their money, right?

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

So at the current difficulty you are making about 1.5 BTC per day.  So it will take about 200 days to make 300 BTC assuming the difficulty does not go up.
