Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

anyone know how resolv this problem
with the pool that I'm trying to set with fantomcoin?
the error that I get from this is
Code:
2014-05-31 09:24:10 [Pool]      (Thread 1) [Share Validator] Bad hash from miner

and it is this part of the code

    if (hash.toString('hex') !== resultHash) {
        log('error', 'Share Validator', 'Bad hash from miner ' + miner.login + '@' + miner.ip);
        return false;
    }

on the miner this

That calculator is all messed up right now.  Look at the prices and then go to the exchanges and check it out.

IMO, it is bullshit!

Do you mine FCN? Do you see it price on exchange? Do you know anything about this coin?

good question,
you can try and tell us  Grin

But even if it works you don't take advantage of merging with BCN, QCN or MRO so it means less coins.

Mining MRO is a complete waste of time due to the high difficulty so I cannot see the advantage of merged mining. Unless you are extremely lucky with MRO but which is highly unlikely. But then you cannot win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket.

I cant believe FCN price is so low. It looks very much the same specs than MRO, except that FCN blocks are 4 where MRO blocks are 16? This should make FCN rarer than MRO.

Price is also mostly set by the market supply and demand. It's seems the demand is low as the volume on exchanges are lows.
I guess FCN need advertising for more traders / investors and pools for more miners.

cheers

It's a merged mining coin, the way I see it, it completely relies on the main coins which are so far doing good. I highly doubt that dev will abandon this coin.
Quite the opposite. Merged mining normally has no reliance at all. It's just the same work used in two places via a commitment. The things that FCN is merged with can stop existing and FCN would continue along fine (which is also demonstrated by FCN not caring at all).

The fact the merged mining is a non-trivial protocol change should be interesting— right now it generally seems that the bytecoin ecosystem as a whole doesn't have a lot of hard core technical attention on it, which is concerning, considering some of the issues in the system (e.g. the completely unhinged blocksize controls)... the fact that FCN has people working on it who are willing and able to do lowlevel protocol work is a positive sign.
