The database structure should work with v1 with  a minimal amount of modification. Of course, that's only if it was competently designed, which I doubt it was.
well, IF it could actually still work with V1, one could wonder what the heck took them 6 days to migrate data and caused a ton of errors during the several attempts Wink
Could of course also be the V1 DB that was terribly designed, but at least it worked w/o lots of flaws.

Would be interesting to see the differences between them (a good part of my daily work for like a decade now is designing software modules + the according DBs and supervise migrations from 3rd-party DBs into "our" structure/software , so i'd say that i know a bit about such things).

of the markets...

2. IIRC they wanted to get back to serious coins only. All the Trex shitcoin lottery with 90% of the top 20 falling out the next week due to "pump over/scam/whatever" is what people are fed up with, i think.

Still some BC traders on there, even with most volume being fake. Many other coins have no activity at all until this moment.

Personally, I'd rather have the choice. Split it into 2 websites then. Old MintPal with "reliable" coins. New MintPal like Trex?

How many coins on MintPal were scams? Whitecoin, Asiacoin. What's the rest?

Blackcoin is helping Mintpal revival, 300btc volume is made by BC  Shocked

Yeah, but since it's just 1 or 2 people selling to themselves... the price doesn't move at all.  Fake volume is fake.  Wink

Trader Rewards
All trading will be fee-free (0%) until the end of the year.
We will be rewarding the first ten traders to hit 100 BTC in trading volume, with 1.5 BTC each.
We will be rewarding long-term high volume traders with reduced fees once they are applied.

I think you are right.

Im fairly new to altcoins, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. But I don't understand with all of the great developement and unique features of blackcoin, why there isn't a reflection in the price. I purchased about 10k coins over a month ago... am I expecting too much in too short of a period?

I am in it for the long term... just want to be with the right coin

Wait cca 5-10 years and then 100k price for Blackcoin will look really cheap.

... if BTC becomes/stays unprofitable to mine (dunno if it is still profitable, not putting any money in mining crap) nobody knows what's gonna happen to the altcoin eco system.
It seems that the next stop is $197 $200-$270 many hoarders are dumping now and the system will find a new equilibrium between difficulty and hashing power (https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty) as many miners are going to give up and stop mining at an increasing rate as the next half-reward approaches in 2016 see here: http://bitcoinclock.com/

This is probably the reason why some of the POS coins have gained some some strength lately while BTC continues to bleed.  IMO the bleeding is just starting, unless the banking system and the dollar start to collapse out of the fake strength created by the war machine.  If this happens then BTC will be resuscitated in one big jolt, in the mean time POS may enjoy a new invigorating force (I hope).

Well it looks like I was almost right.. BTC hit $275 and now it is rebounding due to the dollar weakening since Oct 4rth.  http://www.barchart.com/charts/stocks/$DXY

If the dollar keeps sliding then BTC has a chance to recover some value.  There are many resistance levels ahead so the dollar index will drive this rally while the dollar weakens against European currencies see here also: http://www.advfn.com/exchanges/FX/USDEUR/chart  The price recovery of BTC should be stronger vs the dollar then vs the euro.

BTC has become a hedge against the dollar index much like gold.  See the price of gold rebounding while the US dollar started sliding.  https://www.bullionvault.com/gold-price-chart.do

Finally it is very possible that the new BRICKS bank may gain strength and this will lead to a much, much, much weaker dollar!  see here: http://thediplomat.com/2014/07/3-reasons-the-brics-new-development-bank-matters/

Hopefully BC will get some new releases like the centric market soon or maybe a sneak-a-peak of Night Trader!

It looks like on ore more person(s) exploited a bug on MP and have/has been selling other peoples coins: http://pastebin.com/bjbbUq9i
That would explain why they are selling at these prices @Mintpal only, and why the price is not reflected on other exchanges.

It took me all day but I'm so thankful that I transferred all of my coins off that crapfest.  It's really sad how badly they've trashed that exchange.  It's also ironic how the entire takeover was because of a single isolated hacking incident with VRC which caused their security to be called into question... I'm pretty sure the security is much, much worse now! Wink

I just read on twatter that they deny there are any issues like that.
But i honestly cannot imagine a reason why someone should dump millions of coins down to 500 SAT (at one single exchange while the price held on all the other ones) if it wasn't exploiting the above mentioned bug. If it actually was an exploit, Mintpal's customers (or better everyone who had open buy orders when the dump happened) do now have millions of BC that technically do not even exist.

BTC    BC    Buy    100.00000000 BC    0.00010000 BTC    0.01000000 BTC    0.00000000 BTC    09-10-14 13:57:42
BTC    BC    Buy    100.00000000 BC    0.00010000 BTC    0.01000000 BTC    0.00000000 BTC    09-10-14 13:57:41
BTC    BC    Buy    60.00000000 BC    0.00010000 BTC    0.00600000 BTC    0.00000000 BTC    09-10-14 13:57:39
BTC    BC    Buy    95.24495707 BC    0.00010000 BTC    0.00952450 BTC    0.00000000 BTC    09-10-14 13:57:39
BTC    BC    Buy    4.75504293 BC      0.00010000 BTC    0.00047550 BTC    0.00000000 BTC    09-10-14 13:29:36

Can't remember that i had 5 orders at 10,000. All my orders had a different price Roll Eyes.

Hi guys,

as there are so much problems with Mintpal i would really like you to test alcurEX. It is a totally new exchange with the intention to only add established coins. It has a USD market and a microCoin market as alternative for coins with lower value. New coins are always listed in a seperate catalogue to clearly diversify between established and new coins.

Blackcoin is not listed, yet. But i'm in contact with the operator and can make him proposals for new coins to be added.

They are a registered company in Finland, so you can sue them if they steal or lose your monies:
http://www.ytj.fi/english/yritystiedot.aspx?yavain=2502807&kielikoodi=3&tarkiste=A1CE0E52CBC6A9BC358AC8C9A583D6BDAF7E2F18&path=1704;1736;2052

Anything could be hacked though.

Regarding the decentralized exchange, and how safe and usable it's gonna be - I'm gonna hazard a guess it's still gonna take at least a year.

This looks really bad. Everyone still able to withdraw and deposit BC?

Also Is there an easy way to export Trade History from MintPal?
