Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Yeah normally it annoys me when people lazily ask to have the timezone converted for them, but this is confusing.

I wasn't trying to be a smartarse. I agree with you the OP time is confusing. They just put the countdown clock early today. I was convinced that it originally meant 8PM today as GMT: 0:00 tomorrow is 8pm today.
