Hello,

Today I read om these forums that I should give westhash a try.

I registered an account but am confused.

Pool 1:
stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3334

Pool 1 worker:

I entered the address of my Armory Bitcoin Wallet hosted on my PC.

Password:

I entered an "x"

Is this correct?Huh?

Is this all I need to enter? Is this incorrect?  My miners are mining/hashing away.

How do I know that westhash is giving me credit? How do I verify it is working?

Sorry if these are silly questions. I just dont want to be wasting my time and hash power.

I think I figured it out. I looked in the Miners Tab on West Hash and found my Bitcoin Addy for my wallet and it is showing my combined hash rate. So I guess I just sit back and watch.

FYI if one uses norton connectsafe DNS, it seems to have started blocking westhash lately claiming virus are found.  Nicehash continues to work...

Really? Could you tell me what Norton finds? - Not that I trust Norton at all, just curious......

Thanks.

This is an old post, but I ran across it and wanted to point out that all virus software reports the cgminer/sgminer package as having viruses, and the only reason westhash is shown with this level is because they offer cgminer packages for download.  So, it is not the site specifically.

If you look a little deeper on the norton page, you will see this.
