how do I make the wallet sync?
Do I need to add nodes manually and how? I have never seen a wallet that needs configuration to sync
These are the official nodes:
addnode=162.243.90.199
addnode=106.216.171.76

You need to open/create a Libertycoin.conf file inside your Application Data/Libertycoin folder
paste the following:

Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
port=55901
rpcport=55900
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
addnode=162.243.90.199
addnode=106.216.171.76

I have a little warning for the people who use any coin that implementing Zerocoin Smiley

Zerocoin's technology require generation of "initial parameter", you can think about it as a "master key". This master key need to be deleted right after it was used and nobody should know about it. Technically, whole security of the currency depend on this "master key". Anyone who gained access to it would have ability to control double spend (i.e. he can create infinite amount of coin, another kind of premine).

The creation and destruction of this initial parameter need to be performed in a trusted way to make sure that nobody can know it, include the developer.

So, if you guy believe that dev is honest, you can use the coin. If you don't trust him, stay away from that.

That's my warning, i'm not trying to spread FUD, but this is some technical information people should know about Zerocoin Smiley

I've checked the source and there is no hidden pre-mine code like asiacoin or some other scam coins. I will make sure of that initian parameter too. I hope the devp is honest.

It's not in the source. You'll never know if dev really destroyed this "master key" or not.

how do I make the wallet sync?
Do I need to add nodes manually and how? I have never seen a wallet that needs configuration to sync
These are the official nodes:
addnode=162.243.90.199
addnode=106.216.171.76

You need to open/create a Libertycoin.conf file inside your Application Data/Libertycoin folder
paste the following:

Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
port=55901
rpcport=55900
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
addnode=162.243.90.199
addnode=106.216.171.76

As soon as I add the conf file, the wallet gets a runtime error before loading.
I even deleted all other files in the %appdata%\libertycoin folder except for the wallet and conf file, still runtime error
Removing the conf I no longer get the error but then it can't sync

I tried on 2 different systems, and even on a different building and internet connection. Exactly the same (both windows 8 one x86 the other x64)
