There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Here is a sleeker more modern version. We definitely need something that is modern and also unique from the rest of the other coins.

I really like it however I feel that the line work on some areas of the coin (inner rings) are too bold and give the logo a cartoonish look slightly. Anyone else feel the same?

Other than that it's great, a really strong face for our coin.

Like. Sharp and to the point. Catches the eye. Refinements can make down the track if needed - in crypto great work is good enough work. Speed is everything, it's the edge. Crypto is an evolutionary race

Thank you for your comments. We all come from different backgrounds and regions of the world. Everyone will have their own opinion on what looks good..etc..etc. It will be impossible to find the perfect "balance" and please everyone. One person might not like the font, another person might not like the color, another person might not like the hand...etc..etc. I tried to incorporate the ideas of the community and at the same time come up with something that will look great on almost anything.

Everything we do from this point has to be 100x better than the other coins...

Don't get me wrong it looks awesome and I love the concept. As heartastack said refinements can be made later on, it still blows 99.9% of altcoin logos out of the water Wink For now we have more pressing matters at hand. This project is shaping up very nicely!

Good job with the logo IE

Hey guys, do you think we need a 'head devver' for this coin? Or will all be bounty driven?

I think it's better if it's community / bounty driven. People will know that they're giving their coins for something good.

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

Good job with the logo IE

Thanks... Believe it or not the logo is the most important element of a "brand". I focused on the logo first because it is the first thing people will see when being introduced to LibertyCoin for the first time. You know the old saying about first impressions. Now that is out the way I can get back to working on the marketing plan, and it will be better than anything that has been done in crypto before. Each week we have to keep doing something new to be relevant. We cannot get comfortable, comfortable kills coins. Each week we will do new and creative things to keep getting the word out about LibertyCoin.

Keep up the good work, IE

I think that the name is so strong it can survive any changes to logo etc.

One small thought ... I've seen people write both "Libertycoin" and "LibertyCoin"

It may not matter at all, but should the "C" be capitalized on the logo and the website?  Would it look better?

After all, the name itself will become a brand, like a well known auction site with a capital "B" in it's name.

Haha, Me too mate!  I've spread it out among what I see as the up and coming POS coins all working on Anonymity not to sure which one will take off but hopefully one of them does enough to pay for the others!  Or they could all go up!

To me their like POS 2.0 currently have about 3-5 coins on my radar but here's hoping Liberty does well!

If we can promote the comeback of a 'new' liberty reserve. This thing will skyrocket.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Reserve read it & learn.

Actually would not be a bad idea..... The market cap of the old Liberty Reserve was around $6 Billion if I'm not mistaken...

This would make a lot of advertisement actually  Grin

What you guys say? Dev, Iconic, LibertyCoin?

Lets put this at a 6 Billion Market Cap?Huh??

I will quadruple the escort offer for each one of you Smiley
