Haven't you just come back from a ban for exactly the same thing? I think all sig providers should be looking out for spam and doing more to curb it, but I'm sure those who return from bans and continue their behaviour will likely be quickly banned again.
My ban was 7d I believe, and mostly since
I really did spam that day (80 or more posts in a row if I'm correct, in a very short period of time). I guess his ban was longer due to the severity of his spamming. There is a nice suggestion in the meta forum now. Let's not get off topic. I won't continue posting here about these things anymore.

"I really did spam that day" - this member
LaudaM is telling us that indeed he was spamming on Bitcointalk.
At least he is honest. But if he knew that he is spamming and he was spamming ... his 7d ban was a lot too short.
I was never spamming in my opinion.
Moderators find that I did post ~160 posts in 18h when I was spending my whole day on forum
- and they gave me a 14d ban to make me think about it... as for them 160 posts in a day it's more likely like a spam
like you see I am here again ...
and now I know I cannot spend 18h on Bitcointalk daily and reply to all interesting threads
because it might cause a ban
