Good. Give things time to settle down. Also a good opportunity to buy up cheap coins.

Results of previous poll: majority of people have voted that would like interviews on CoinDesk, Keiser Report and Reddit (AMA) in that order.
New poll: Shall we change the Uro logo?
How about something like this: I found the lack of contrast in the original a little glaring, I felt a stark black/white was serious enough. It is just a very rough draft, if you would like it tightened up I'll be happy to have a play around with it. If anyone has any suggestions or comments I would be happy to hear them. Please bear in mind it is a rough draft to gauge whether t is worth spending a couple of hours on. -Psilent To be honest, I don't see this as an improvement over the original. Just adding a bit of contrast to the original would work far better.

So, are the devs trust worthy, or is them a very sophisticated scam?

It doesn't seem to be a scam. Just a risky investment as is the case with all altcoins. The problem today was the premature listing by Mintpal which caused the price to fall due to insufficient volume. This then caused some people to panic sell which further added to the issues.

I thought the whole point was that that was set in stone otherwise the whole foundation of URO is not real.
If demand outpaces supply then I see no reason not for the market to adjust to changing conditions someday down the road. It's no different than Bitcoin being carved up into pieces to support a worldwide economy. The agreement demands 1 uro = 1 ton of urea. If this isn't real the coin isn't real. You don't think agreements can't be revised months or years down the road? What do you think renegotiating a contract means?

Of course they can change it if everyone later agrees to change. It's just not worth discussing right now because it will only cause confusion. It's more important to rebuild the momentum lost when Mintpal listed it just to screw with everyone. The price was rising very well on it's own before that but Mintpal do like to screw people and this way they screwed URO and VOOT.

Mintpal is just a terrible exchange anymore, it's bot infested, the order book needs to show more to give an honest market valuation of a coin, I also think the owners manipulate things on the backend for their own benefit. Personally I hope Bittrex takes over because it is proving itself to be a solid and less toy-like exchange. I think the reason there is no volume on URO on Mint is the day traders with their bots are finding themselves unable to exploit a coin that is scarce and that for the most part no one wants to dump. Some people find this lack of volume worrying but I think it's encouraging. I'd be fine with URO going sideways until the 9th.

You're talking about LOGOS? What I'd like to see here is some thinking about how this BENEFITS anyone to actually USE this coin? Who is going to trade with this coin? How are they going to access it? Where in all of this is there an INCENTIVE for the farmers who will supposedly be the support base of this coin? I'm now going to answer my own questions Those farmers who are already using urea, and have access to internet and supply chains and the banking system, are probably not going to find any convenience or value in using this coin, unless it somehow provides them a price advantage. Therefore, I believe the advantage here lies in increasing the market penetration, through providing hardware and internet access, along with education on how to effectively use these tools, to remote farming communities who are generally excluded from the current financial system. The kind of people whose life savings are wrapped in a rag and buried under the dirt floor, and who have never even seen a bank. This I believe may be accomplished by adding a charitable component, which would allow (compel?) miners and traders to donate to a general fund aimed at accomplishing these goals, by providing the necessary equipment and expertise, along with low interest loans. This could drive an increase in food production worldwide, as well as support the future value of this coin. Something to think about, anyway. Make a REAL difference.

Personally I hope Bittrex takes over because it is proving itself to be a solid and less toy-like exchange. Agreed Bittrex are open to talking and listen to customers. They still have bots and the like but I trust them a hell of a lot more than I trust Mintpal who don't give a stuff about their customers or the state of crypto and care only about money. Yes basically "computer says no". I'm just annoyed that it derailed the previous momentum (just impatient I suppose). I hope people have learnt their lesson and even the noobs won't be clamouring for Mintpal in future. Bittrex is the big exchange that matters and coins do just fine there without Mintpal. My strategy now will be to sell half my coins as soon as they get anounced by Mintpal, then wait for the inevitable fall in price and buy up from the noobs who are panic selling.

So now forum posts are getting deleted by someone. WOW. Really great way to reassure people. I'm out now.
The thread is not self moderated, so the only people who can delete posts are moderators I don't understand why my post was deleted. Deleted posts are very suspicious anyway. They are one of the first signs of a SCAM so I hope the moderators aren't that stupid. Soul_eater_123: do you mind letting us know which of your posts have been deleted? Because I did not do that. Bare in mind that this bitcointalk.org has a policy against threats, swearing and certain other things - and any member can report such incidents to the global site moderators, who may choose to delete such posts at their discretion.

I didn't keep the message but it doesn't matter now, it certainly wouldn't come under any of those points anyway. It wasn't vitally important. I was just making the point that deleting messages looks like censorship but let's move on now.

Hi hobopete, welcome to the forum and thank you for your question. Uro was specifically launched to deal with major problems in the current banking process for Urea trading. Please read here for an explanation: http://greenearthsystems.com.au/ges-stands-behind-uro-alternative-payment-methods-for-urea/

True asset, even though coindesk is great, I still think it would be good to get on Keiser because it reaches an international audience with a wide variety of investors, not just crypto enthusiasts. Litecoin shot through the roof last year after being featured on it, ideally I'd try to secure both.
We are pursuing all media coverage opportunities. The poll was just for the purposes of setting targets and prioritisation.

I have been keeping an eye on this coin for the last week after hearing about it in the polo trollbox and kind of wish I had got in much earlier. If this isn't a scam then it could be the start of something amazing. I wish I understood why some coins pump when added to mintpal while others dump instead. Not complaining though, since I missed the original boat and was thinking I would have to buy in at 800k+.
From what I understand on July 9th 1 URO should be able to be exchanged with 1 MT Urea. However since shipments only occur in 12500 MT how soon after July 9th will 1 URO = 1 MT Urea be verified by an independent party? Additionally is there a need for the URO community here to reach out to urea wholesale suppliers and market the URO as a more stable way of guaranteeing future supplies? I figure the sooner this is done the sooner the price of the URO will reflect the value of 1 MT Urea.
