Sorry you had to go through this - at least it's a warning to the rest of us.

I've been looking at a few Bitcoin hosts, but since Bitcoin is "Bitcoin" aka you won't get crap back if you're dealing with crooks.

We'll just need to wait for reputable hosting site(s) that exist & accept modern forms of payment to start accepting Bitcoin - not "founded with Bitcoin".

I didn't know that refund for domain name can be possible  Roll Eyes
if you pay domain name registration, with CC or with BTC, there is no money back. it is paid and they can give refund only from their pocket but they can not take back registration of domain. so, it is quite logical that refund is just promise but not reality or maybe some registrants are ready to send refund/money from their pocket. it is different in the case of webhosting, they can send money back without damage for them. in any case, I don't recommend to anyone to test service than to buy only if they are serious about buying, 2 days is fast to decide if some hosting is good or bad.
I have several websites and I send money "cash in the letter", from 2009. webhosting cost me 12 eur per year (1GB space, 20GB bandwidth, plus I created much more subdomains than it is allowed) and one domain cost me 8 eur. I have 3 domains and the main domain has 3 subdomains. from 1Gb, I use 400MB, and the biggest space is occupied by my wordpress blog (I uploaded video and mp3 files), other my sites are flash and html/css, so, I use only one database for wordpress.

debit cards websites are companies registered in London by Lithuanians who demand from you your phone, ID and utility bill, that's enough for them to make offshore companies on your name without your knowledge and they can get a bank account and make financial crimes on your name, or they can simply sell IDs. don't give to anyone too much info.
why they need more than your ID when your local bank demands only ID?
don't use coinbase, they are NSA spying shit, they make database of people that use bitcoins.
