when btc38 will update its side ?

BTC38 have asked for some major changes to the new plan. Unfortunately this will require a re-sync from a previous block. Sorry but this will cause more disruption, especially to the people who have synchronized the latest wallets recently.

More details to follow soon

--------------------------------------

BTC38已要求一些重大变化,以新的计划。不幸的是,这将需要从以前的块重新同步。很抱歉,但这样会造成更多的破坏,特别是对谁最近同步的最新的钱包的人。

更多的细节很快跟进

Does that mean that people with coins in cryptsy will have a chance to move'em?
A friend of mine has ~150K there but was unable to withdraw before the chain moved and cryptsy wallet went out of sync (hence my question before)

it still depends on if Cryptsy pull and build the new wallet, allow withdrawals and also if those coins were transferred to Cryptsy before block 640398, which is the block we need to revert back to.
PM me with as much info as possible regarding the TX details. I'll need block number and TXID that they were transferred in.

thanks

Hello. I see value network speed is low. 100 blocks per 24 hours only(

HI,
The nodes are offline at the moment while i re-code some changes into the wallet.

These changes have been agreed by BTC38, so will have the new network up and running soon.

Unfortunately this will require everyone to update and re-sync from a previous block. So at the moment there is no point in having your BoostCoin wallet open until the new network is ready.

>> Update <<

This weekend BTC38 have agreed to update their wallet to the latest BoostCoin source with all the new features and changes that have been made.
The latest code will not include more coins in the total supply, but we have all agreed all the new changes, including 'Split Stake'.
Split Stake is a way to send a percentage of your stake rewards to a saving or charity address automatically from your wallet.

The block chain is now back up and running, and BTC38 will be re-syncing to to ensure we are 'all' on the same chain.

As part of the agreed update we had to go back to a previous block (640398) to continue the chain from so some of you might need to re-sync using the new wallets to ensure you are all up to date. If you have any TX or stakes rewards created on blocks higher than the new chain, unfortunately they will not be valid and will be orphaned. There will be a new bootstrap.dat to help you all re-sync if needed.

The new wallets will be posted asap after BTC38 have confirmed they have successfully updated. But in the meantime the source code is ready and available to create your own wallets for daemons etc...

The Cryptsy Issue:

I have contact Cryptsy in many different ways, but unfortunately they have still not said anything about updating their wallet to the latest code. I will keep trying as i know many of you still coins on there that you want to recover.

Thanks
M

hey how are we supposed to check what block things happened in if the explorer is not working, says it is up for sale, is the address (http://boostcoin.eu/explorer) wrong and needing to be updated or do we not have an official block chain explorer?

***Edit****

forgot I should ask the boot strap program do we need to use a different one or can we still use it with the new wallet lol, (yeah I still have not gotten around to it since I cant move them into the BTC38 market so I can start trading with them, so no point in worrying especially since I guess those wallet updates are useless anyway.)

Hi, all the download links, explorer and bootstrap file are listed in the previous post to yours.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=601965.msg14188046#msg14188046

The official chain that everyone will be syncing against is up and running on all the nodes, and BTC38 are re-syncing against this chain now. I have contacted Cryptsy again this morning to update their wallet and re-sync.

The bootstrap.dat file is only needed if you are re-syncing. It will help speed up the block import process. If your wallet is already in sync and showing the green tick then you will not need it.
Next step is check your wallet is showing the same block height as the block explorer (currently 643277)

Now restart your wallet using the -rescan switch to see if it can recover missing transactions in your wallet. e.g.

Windows:
1) Using the command window, navigate to the folder where the executable is located
2) Run the following command...
Code:
boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2.exe -rescan

Mac:
1) Using Terminal, navigate to the folder where the boostcoin app is located
2) Now navigate to this folder inside the .app where the boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2 binary is located
Code:
/boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2.app/Contents/MacOS
3) Run the binary using this command with the -rescan switch
Code:
./boostcoin-core-qt-v4.4.1.2 -rescan

Everything works fine for me maybe you had some coins spent off the back up you used or sent coins from wallet when chain stopped moving.Either way -rescan/-reindex usually sorts it out. Also blockexplorers sometimes show incorrect balance and that happens with all coins.Mine showed a larger balance but I know it is less because I spent some but blockexplorer didnt indicate I spent them.

In theory if they update and those coins are in the wallet after they update and re-sync, then yes there is no reason why the coins can't be recovered.
'BUT'
Ive sent many many requests via their support, directly to Vern through bitcointalk DM, through other methods and i never had any luck getting them to update. Every reply to the support calls i raised were completely irrelevant and just seemed to be automated.

If anyone know whats happening over at Cryptsy, if they are coming back in some form or another, then it would be good to know...

Thanks
