Wow, I'm not sure who sold yesterday but I can tell you for sure, the Top 100 didn't budge. Shocked

I improved my block report a bit, just sharing my research. This report shows all coin changes for the past 24 hours using data from the VRC the block explorer.

Vericoin Block Report 12 Aug 2014
Hosted on Google Docs
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzVARBcPJtt_a1I5NmlGYThlMHM

VRC address links work for addresses, so you can verify transactions.

Top 100 wallets hold over 19.7Million VRC (74%)
Top 100 Increased their holdings 20,724 VRC
Top 100 sold 0 VRC
Total coins received from interest payments 418
1 exchange account identified

Do your own research before jumping out of the boat guys... I think this boat's got wings.  Grin

I have to agree - this is excellent research. I have been meaning to track these stats myself but haven't found the time to do so. Please keep up the excellent work. I'm happy to send a small tip as a thank you for your efforts.

[...]

You need better exchange detection skills. The people selling already have their coins on the exchange. There are numerous exchange wallets on the top.

Allow me to rephrase that into something that is more tactful and conducive to civilized conversation:

It looks like you may have missed some exchanges. Maybe we (the VeriCoin Communuty) can help you out by linking to known exchanges on http://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/#!rich so that you can update the files. Smiley

Hey Job, in your comments section, can you explain the number of coins staking during the time period?  Seems low, or I do not understand staking fully...  Thanks for the hard work - information = empowerment.

Yeah, I'm adding a more visible date range on the next report.

Currently I'm comparing market movement, highlighting movement every 24 hour period.

I may do them daily or weekly from here on out, depending on how much movement we actually see.

I'd ask you to invest your cinni-buns in VRC, but we really need "smart" money ATM... Top 100 wallets (and likely more) are proof of smart money invested in VeriCoin.

Stake Weight is 22.2M ATM

This is the comment I was referring to: "the total coins staked for this period are 408 VRC." Should that read: "the total coins created by staking for this period are 408 VRC."?

I'd be interested in some naked shortselling. Someone wants to lend me some vrc? I'll give you back +3% vrc in a few weeks.

This is a very worysome statistic, considering only 40 hours ago we were above 28 million. And it can only mean that millions of coins have been moved to the exchanges and dumped, hence the trajectory in the price.

Of course these numbers, both, are not very meaningful for we don't really know, from them, ANYTHING at all. When/if the REAL number of coins staking are included in the upcoming wallent, THEN AND ONLY THEN we will have a REAL statistic, instead of a bull... inexact one.

For those of us hurting while holding bags, the devs are also hurting significantly. Their stakes were worth as much as $80,000, each, at one time while now they will be worth much less than $15,000 each if they were to cash out.

Not that any of them need the VRC money, mind you. This is just a hobby for the three of them, nothing more.
