Wallet Bug:

1. Currently own 6500 VRC
2. Spendable displays 3242.69525263 VRC
3. Staking displays 6258.72329145 VRC
4. Total displays 9501.41854408

The numbers are off and I only own 6500 VRC. And, there have been no new coins added to the wallet.

these issues are fixed please download 1.1 wallet and follow the thread

I updated the wallet to 1.1. Only one problem. Now shows total 7494.41623888 VRC. It is still inaccurate. Do I need to re-download the blockchain?

yes. delete everything except wallet.dat (you don't need the conf file anymore) and re-download the blockchain

well my wallet was running good after update.seems like u cant shut it down everytime i close it i have to delete everything and resync.just about over this.

After much work and help from pnosker and  effects to cause We discovered during a mammouth 1 on 1 help session I was not using the down load 1.1

download and unzip, when the wallet window appears make sure the wallet you see has the 1.1 on it

The patience, time and effort shown me by the Dev's of Vericoin is a Stellar example of how to run a crypto coin site

My oversight, mistake , or lack of knowledge as in Newbie. I'm a Newbie. I hope I don't turn into a NOOB.

My comments on this thread since the issuance of the 1.1 Update have been based on my screw-up.

All I can do is offer an apology to the Dev's and the members of this thread

Updated wallet to v1.1. Re-downloaded the blockchain. All coin issues seem to be fixed and wallet is working well. Good work.

Im on a mac how do I re-download the block chain??

Like I said, people are putting their money into MRO. VRC has made a decent profit for many and has sat still for the last few days, it's the obvious move.

VRC will come back once the MRO madness has eased.

^^^ This. It's 100% the reason for today's drop. Every alt is getting hit. Even a bit of dumping on DRK.
Every other coin on Polo was slammed. Some harder than others. People took some profits on VRC.

Right now the market cap is low on VRC you would be nuts to sell under 1200 satoshi. No guarantee MRO
will keep rising either. It's already a very very high market cap. MRO close to 2 million market cap with
still 95% of the coins to be mined.

VRC is fully mined! And under 200k market cap. Room to grow is all but guaranteed.

I sold some other coins to buy a small amount of MRO but I sold ZERO VRC. Don't sell your VRC for it -- sell something else.

you can try this

Close your wallet

1. Go to  %appdata%/roaming/vericoin
2. make a copy of Wallet.dat
3. Delete everything in vericoin including wallet.dat that u just made a copy of
4. Close now empty vericoin
5. Start Vericoin.qt (That's the wallet)
6. Let in sync to completion. you'll probably a zero balance
7.Close Wallet
8. go back to %appdata%/roaming/vericoin
9. Delete wallet.dat in vericoin
10. replace with Wallet.dat U copied earlier
11.Close vericoin
12. Start wallet
13 When it sync's to completion your Balances will be correct. Any cois u thought you had r gone and not recovererable. They were mined on an incorrect fork. U r not alone many folks including me lost coins this way. It's part of the risk U take playing the crypto game. Those coins never really existed.
14 If This procedure doesn't work go to
