I highly doubt the hobo will be able to comprehend how to buy digital currency especially since their living on the street struggling to achieve real currency.

I call a spade a spade! Buy a hockey jersey with vericoin. Buy a sandwich from subways with vericoin. Now try and buy them things with USD which will be expected??
Alternative Currency is more appropriate.

Crypto is too mysterious.
The idea of "not real" or "fake" is the mainstream thought of those uneducated about Fiat currencies.
One of the best examples to help explain it to people That I use is Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War.
He solved the problem with a printing press, and a Fiat currency(it was just paper and ink really)
When faced with how to pay for the war, a crushing expense, without new taxes. He authorized the printing of over $400 Million in notes. Then the goverment paid the contractors, solidiers, and such with these "Green Backs" as they had green backs. That's where the term comes from.
They Confederacy also issued a Fiat currency and we know how that turned out.
Lets try to educated people on how Alt currencies can make the world a better place for the little guy by decentralising exchanges of goods and services without Banks, Credit Card companies, Stock markets, etc. taking a bite every chance they get or can dream up.
