Im guessing that dump had to do with a big fish wanting to play the addition of XMR to mintpal, once that jolt is absorbed we'll continue higher IMHO.

We tested support on the 1hr charts and held higher with a nice bounce, if we continue to build bids and move higher from here everything is fine and that was just an impatient person wanting to make a trade.

A coin usually gets dumped and the price takes a long time or never returns back, this is now dumped for the 4th time in the 17k-16k and still going back! This is definitely a gem among the stones...

All that sell pressure just got brought forward and gobbled up from many eager community members, so we lost 1 big whale (for now) and we gained many more members. I love it.

Now the march to new highs just got 60 bitcoin thinner.

On we go to new high!

It wouldn't suprise me to see those rebid later in the day once XMR settles.

Hopefully it was the guy that just paid 1 BTC for 14 XMR  Grin

HA! 62Bitcoin sale soon as XMR hit mintpal of XMR on poloniex. and a 65 bitcoin sale of vrz on mintpal. I wonder if that is same person, btc amounts where very similar. Maybe, weird.

Sure enough there is about 60 bitcoin in 2 orders at about 50% drop on XMR prices, so, if he gets shut out of XMR I wonder where that money goes to, perhaps right back to VRC once the "trade" is over for him or her.

It's a smart move, dump into the hordes of moon-dreamers.

I think the days of giant increases for coins on mintpal may be over.  Let's see how Monero is doing in 24 hours, will tell us a lot.

Yeah I like Monero coin as well as a tech / team, but for the short term the coins moving to mintpal hurt the momentum here.

Now that the Monero pump is here they will soon lose attention and look to all we have going on, I imagine the sell buy on the rumor, sell on the news croud will start flowing here in anticipation of the events this week.

If you want a really good indicator of the future of this coin, look at how much the network stake has increased in the last 48 hours. People are picking up Vericoin for a long term investment, not a play-the-swings exchange pump.

The available supply on exchanges is dwindling pretty rapidly. More people are becoming aware of Vericoin and it's potential. The equation becomes pretty self explanatory fairly fast.

How do we make this coin irresistible to miners? If we want to take litecoins top spot don't we need the hashing power?

Right now, the mining pool is the biggest drawback for VRC.  Very few frills and not enough stats that miners are accustomed to:  Pool stats, user stats, shares earned, etc.  I may be wrong, but I believe that pool.vericoin.info is simply mining other altcoins and converting them to VRC.  (Correct me if I'm wrong.)  If that's the case, I realyl have no incentive to mine there.  I could just mine DRK and convert it myself.  Or, LTC.

Guys how can we incentivize veri for miners? We need veri to be well rounded for it to succeed!

Sold +50K VRC for 0,4 BTC a month ago  Cry

Poor decision, this coin has as much potential as Monero, which is up to 0.01 almost. It is still dirt cheap right now, I'd imagine Veri price by end of year to hover around 0.01 if the Devs continue being as active.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

That's the point of the (multi)pool. PoW ended, lasted only 14days.

I have mined X11 for 8 hours twice (so a total of 16 hours) and Sha256 for 8 hours and have yet to receive a single VRC from the pool. How are others finding the profitability?
