Can someone help this user on /r/Vericoin out

---

Got another strange behaviour.
When I start my OSX Wallet (ver. v1.3.3.0-g32a928e) it syncs up and everything's fine. Then I unlock it to start Staking, which eventually starts as well. After a few minutes, though, it begins to fall out of syn.
I checked the debug log, and it looks like it's getting a bunch of errors. Old wallets maybe? Here's a chunk of the log: https://gist.github.com/miles/75e6a44c40762571e878

---

Reply @ http://www.reddit.com/r/vericoin/comments/2ap0zk/fork_is_complete_with_new_update_today_133/cixllzh (or if you don't have a reddit account, just reply here and I'll pass any info along to the person)

For all the Vericoin holders that are ok with the "rollback", we would like to introduce a new exciting investment option.

"RollbackCoin"

Have your coins stolen?
Make a bad trade?
Sold all your coins and want them back?
Just want to fuck with other holders?

Just use our veri innovative "rollback" button. One push of the rollback button removes the last 25 blocks.*

*This option is only available to the devs (you can trust us)  Wink.
**We will use as often as we like.

maybe someone should ask psnoker why he was transfering 200k coins to bittrex during yesterdays original outage... it was clearly stated on irc.
Buy wall to keep VRC from crashing on Bittrex.

he sent 200k vrc to create a vrc buy wall? sorry probably just dense but not following.

I do not own any VRC.

But this was a mature, correct response by an Elite Dev Team...
To a massive security breach affecting 30% of coins outstanding.

ONLY a coin that will be defended and managed like in this case...
Can possibly gain mainstream acceptance by serious merchants.

I'll bet smoothie's big bag of coins has part-time devs that specialize in excuses.

That said... WHY THE FUCK WAS 30% OF VRC IN A MINTPAL HOT WALLET???

The whole problem of exchanges "owning" Customer coins needs to be changed...
There needs to be a protocol change = coins on exchange remain linked to Customer wallet...
There needs to be a NEW special class of "transfer"...
Your wallet would have an extra line that says "on exchange and segregated".

I could see having the choice to link your wallet to an exchange being something interesting to look into.

I think at the least this might eliminate a bunch of people who day trade rather than who are actually supporters of Vericoin.

Good point about the merchants, though I don't see a rollback being an option or necessary in the future, the fact that the devs are out there and didn't just let this issue go and say 'fuck it, let the thief destroy our coin' says a lot, surprised people see it otherwise.

Mintpal though, such shame.

*currently waiting for Bittrix to enable VRC wallets so I can stake the coins I'm buying up*

I believe it's the version 1.3.3. but it keeps the old wallet when you want to install the new version. I had to do it all over again, but it worked when I did a back up and uninstall the old wallet before installing the new one.

Same here. Installing over the old one ended up with the same version. Uninstalling then reinstalling results in the correct version and connects fine.

That doesn't make sense, when you make a buy wall it's only with BTC and the sell wall wouldn't be in the interest of the coin.
I believe you can use someone else's name and make statements for him. My English is not that good but I can sense when I read the comments and they do not seem to come from the dev's. How could he be bragging that he is sending 100k vrc to every exchange and got taken in his own game? It's only Fud by people who want vericoin to crash. I still believe in the coin and in the sincerity of the Devs, who have always done the right thing.

he sent 100k's to multiple exchanges to put up sell walls to protect the price of the coins, it was psnoker on irc saying this and multiple exchange reps confirmed it. so he takes the loses and not the community. lol.

yet the majority of people didnt have access to their funds even if they wanted to sell

what a joke and scam.

Yeah this doesn't compute. He'd need to send btc for buy support to the exchanges to protect the coin.
