God bless the ruler of the 500k coins wish I was smart enough to  come up with a gimmick to get that many coins.

The 500K+ coins belong to the community.  James donated them back so there's no gimmick there.

So if you gave X amount and in two weeks need them because of a financial emergency can you get them back??

I wouldn't want them back even if I had the mafia threatening to break my legs over paying them.

Those coins were a gift to James for his becoming involved here.  I thought that VRC was a diamond in the rough before he came along but now I think it even more so since he's become involved.  Like anything that's worthwhile though, it'll take time.  I knew that from the beginning and should have kept that in mind when I was buying this weekend.

anyone ever read a simple instruction on how to run a vericoin wallet on a raspberry pi?

my blackcoin raspi wallet is running flawlessly and i'm sure that the vericoin community can come up with an instruction too

thanks in advance!

Yeah, that would be great. Also looking for a Raspberry Pi Wallet. I tried to compile it for ARM some time ago, but wasnt successful Sad  A raspberry Pi wallet would be perfect for staking ....

There's certain flags you have to set when you compile it.  Can't remember off the top of my head but it had to do with sse extentions I think?  I'll check, hang on...

edit:  okay so I don't have the source on me but if you remove the "-msse2" from CXXFLAGS in buildfile.unix you should be good.

The coins weren't donated, they were committed to an escrow account that will pay 10,000 satoshi per VRC sent, once the VRC price reaches 50k satoshi. They are still in that escrow (managed by Doug), and won't be touched until the community determines the fate of the 80% (non-escrowed) coins.

Observing the order book for the last 48 hours I can see there is clearly some interest that has returned from large players.
Lot's of pushing and pulling and big walls on both sides.

Everything I see looks like, to me at least, very good signs of a near term future rise. Coming from my experience of watching such things.
