Curecoin 2.0 is live!!!

The fork was just completed a couple hours ago. New clients are coming online and staking away with the increased stake reward of 4% vs the old reward of 1%.

Block time has been reduced to 4 minutes from 10 minutes (traditional BTC time).

Minimum Stake Age is now 4 days vs 30 days

ASIC POW has been removed, leaving the bulk of electricity used for curecoin dedicated to protein simulations via the folding@home project out of Stanford University.

Mac OSX client and a .deb linux installer will be posted asap. Linux compiling instructions are in the github readme.

I followed the instructions in the OP and got my CPU + GPU folding. However, when I checked the After Burner, it showed that all GPU are at 0% usage, is it normal?

GPU usage should be 90%+ (sometimes it can be lower)

Make sure in the Folding client, your GPU shows it is being used.      We have a good community on discord that would love to help you as well if you need it.

Is there anything to do to have one's CC1.0 coins migrated to CC2.0?
Or is the only required move to get a new wallet to enable the 4% Stacking?

it depends on your luckiness, and difficulty on the network at specific point of time.
Sometimes high, sometimes low, and no one can give you exact figures.

But CURE holders were not aware. I sent 2870.76669 CURE from my wallet v1.9.4.1-CUR to my Bittrex deposit address on 12/22/2018 10:45. The deposit has never been received and no Pending Deposit has been posted. Bittrex tech support says they don't see it on the blockchain. How can I get my CURE back???

Edit: I upgraded to CURE wallet 2.0.0.2 as directed and after it synced up my CURE coins appeared where they should be. Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this project gain more traction soon.  With all the attention folding@home has been getting lately in the media and the massive influx of new
folders.  It's a rare thing to see a crypto coin backed by a legitimate purpose, which is, preventing deaths and saving lives using science.

There u go. Money is now lost. The philosophy of it is quite mesmerizing though. When your possessions are tangible there is always fear of losing it, no matter what the value is. Physicalization plays the foremost role to how the relation between your brain and things forms. Im no shrink but I find it inauspicious for my mental health to own tangible things like money since it can be lost. But you can never be rid off your intelligence, charm etc.
