Will there be a NFD 1.3.7 with the Asset Exchange patches or has NFD updates completely stopped at this point?

Is coming probably tonight.

New NFD client release nfd-client-NFD-1.3.7.zip

This is a critical bugfix release. Everyone is required to update.

It fixes the validation of asset exchange order cancellations.
The missing validation can be exploited by an attacker. The bug could be used to transfer
coins of a foreign bid order at the cost of own unconfirmed balance. Furthermore leads the attack to a DOS.

i want to use some of my remaining server capacity to run another Nxt-based coin node. Are there any community rewards for running a NFDv2 node?

There is a forger reward but no node reward.
HZ distributes bounties to public hallmarked nodes.
(NFD is merging with HZ.)

Why is there no information about the merger announcement on the coin's official website (Nfdcoin.com)?

I see that the latest version of the wallet was released on April 23 while I'm currently running an older version (v1.3.5). Is the coin still in active development? Or are the new versions just security updates/bug fixes?

Appears to be just critical bug fixes to get everyone over to HZ.

I'm now part of the HZ team and not developing NFD anymore.
I don't know anyone who is currently working on NFD or plan to over take the developing responsibilities.

I promised to do security related bug fixes until 5th of July,
but the latest bugfix release 1.3.7 didn't found many downloaders.

There was no information about the merger on nfdcoin.com because I forgot it.

I got my stake in the original distribution (scam version). I was never able to claim my stake in the reboot of nfd though because the password I had written down didn't match my account number & password hash. After many hours of frustration I gave up trying different versions of my original password and believed my nfd stake was lost forever.

Today I worked out the problem Smiley

Using http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator I was able to generate my original password hash from my original password by adding a 'return' at the end. My problem now is when I try to do this in the nfd login box by hitting the 'return' key after I type in my password the 'enter' key submits the form, so the extra return that's needed on the end of my password doesn't get submitted as part of my password.

How can I add a 'return' character to the end of my password that becomes part of the password text, but doesn't submit the login form?

thanks

copy your password and paste it in a notepad
move the pointer to the end of the password line by cursor or mouse left click and hit the Enter
select all by Ctrl + A and copy it by Ctrl + C
now paste it in the password field in the wallet and hit Enter
i think this will work

Thanks for the reply!

I tried that but it didn't work. I used textpad, and it doesn't matter how many enter characters I copy, I always open the same account, which leads me to believe that the login form does not register the enter character, but I know from using http://www.xorbin.com/tools/sha256-hash-calculator that my password has an enter character on the end.

HELP Smiley

edit: I get the same result using NXT client (i.e. enter characters at the end of password aren't included)
a blank space (spacebar) is though
