Some of you may know that Ciyam has been developing an automated transaction system (AT) for Nxt for months. Now AT is ready for test. However, the NXT's high market cap ($60+ million) has made Nxt hesitate to implement something like AT due to the risk nature of an innovative technology. You can see all the discussion in Nxt community here - https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/so-where-does-at-go-from-now/160/I wonder if NFD community is interested in inviting Ciyam to come to NFD to test and implement AT if the testing results warrant it. Qora and Nas have contacted with Ciyam and showed their interests in letting AT implemented at Qora and Nas. I would actually agree to this. If it works, nfd will be on every crypto news outlet there is. AT is HUGE. It's a death blow to ethereum. Really is that big. It's superior to Turing complete by far
Yes, it will be huge if NFD implements the AT first. It will bring NFD to a much higher level which we never could imagine. MaWo has kindly agreed to help if Ciyam and his team need. Ciyam has also said he would consider NFD to test and implement if the testing results are good. By far, if Nxt does not implement the AT after the testing, it will come down to three candidates to have the chance, NFD, NAS, and Qora. Let's do our best to embrace this once in a life time opportunity which may never happen again. |

I disagree. Guess what- there are people at NXT who are actually thinking about these things and they are hesitant FOR A REASON! By the way: for how long has ethereum been at it now? in any case, the more time passes, the more vapoury it appears- what do you think why this is the case? Any ETA on ethereum? None that I know of, but I stopped looking for updates months ago. |

No, it is not untested. AT will be tested first. Why don't we test it to see how it works. We don't know why it takes Ethereum so long. It could well be the legal issues they have been working on so far. They could have completed their smart contract system and just wait for the green light of their legal issues. AT is not same as Ethereum smart contract. AT is a cut down version of smart contract to fit into and make itself work with the current technology. |

Yes, I do think a once in a life time opportunity will elevate NFD from a regular clone status to a higher place, not sure as high as stratosphere, but higher than a regular clone. I think NFD should grab every opportunity available, not just one opportunity. Testing and implementing AT will be a hard work. It might be one of hardest one NFD will even have and it will be a community effort and make the community stronger and bigger. |

I agree that helping test AT would be a great idea for NFD. I think AT is a very interesting concept and NFD could use some innovative ideas like this to help us gain some momentum. I like the idea of trying out something that is on the leading edge, rather than just following like others.

They like creative things which sound innovative. They try to buy early and sell in a bubble phase. Currently, you can attract them with anonymous transactions, smart contracts, contract programming, scripts running on top of block chain, reforging, ... The other group are users. They have a problem and are searching for a solution like easy, secure, sending money with a mobile phone. A normal user is not very interested in an exchange rate. Normally he is not interested how things work. He only want to solve a problem fast. What's with AT? I think when it is working smooth it will be a good programming tool to faster solve business problems. I'm willing to test and help developing AT, but without someone who use AT it is senseless. We also need a community, users, customers and as base all is relying on - a good working network infrastructure and bugfree core code! I think we should focus on things which are needed now. In my humbly opinion are this localized clients and a website. We have many investors/users who are not good in English. We need more nodes with open port 8874 (upnp?). We need simple, 1-click clients and additional secure options to create and handle secrets. We need good documentation to describe which problems can be solved with NFD. We need a good marketing which reach our target group. We already have a great technology. We should develop it to a level of usability that a man from the street can use it. AT can make some things easier or even possible, but imho at the moment it's not the key to the masses. Currently it's only the key to the wallet of investors, but it's also a technology, which I would like to add to NFD core code. +1440 Stay realistic people: even keeping up with what is happenig at NXT is an extremely daunting task! I want to throw this statement out here:
Robust COMPATIBILITY of NFD to NXT is the ONLY viable survival strategy for NFD
Please think about it everybody- and get involved!
