Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I haven't noticed people offloading however there is a 28nm 60M Scrypt miner on the way. That's probably why!

Multiple companies are releasing their much better Scrypt ASIC miners in a few weeks.
Fibonacci, KNCMiner, Alpha-T etc etc

The KNCMiner Titan hashes at minimum 250 MH/s

Titan is 300 mh/s now

No wonder people would want to dump their 4 MH/s Gridseeds before these dinosaurs hit the market.

they have a limited warranty, but they should work fine for a long time i think, unless they were semi-defective from the start or other shit like that

They won't die soon. But you would not want to use them once all those dinosaurs hit the market anyway after few months. It would be like mining with CPU when everyone else is using GPUs.

Except they only use 7w

Difficulty will have to increase massively before they use more than they mine

Compared to sha ASICs you are not limited by electricity. So I doubt when the Titan hits the market in Q3 people are going to turn off their 7W Grindseed units. Of course their value is getting lower, that's why people try to sell them while they can get a decent price.

I just had a guy offer me 500 new gridseeds at $40/piece

that make sense to me that 9 MH for $1,000

the best deal right now is the Hashra 30 MH unit for $3,635 and that's $120/mhs

these gridseeds are $111/mhs

can't beat it and at 7 watts each I can run over 100 of them off an 800 w power supply.

See if you can get Gridseed BLADE miner instead of 5-chip units. Blade units will be easier to manage and probably you'd get a better deal.
