Hi,
I use Gygabite R9 290X for mining litecoins and feathercoins and I only can get around 400 kh/s effectivelly. I use cgminer 3.7.2. Settings in cgminer are:
“intensity” : 13, “vectors” : 1, “worksize” : 256, “lookup-gap” : 2, “thread-concurrency” : 32768, “gpu-engine” : 950, “gpu-fan” : 40-100, “gpu-memclock” : 1250, “gpu-powertune” : 20, “temp-cutoff” : 97, “temp-overheat” : 95, “temp-target” : 90,
“api-port” : 4028, “expiry” : 120, “failover-only” : true, “gpu-threads” : 1,
“log” : 5, “queue” : 1, “scan-time” : 60, “temp-hysteresis” : 3,
“scrypt” : true, “kernel” : “scrypt”, “kernel-path” : “/usr/local/bin” }
If I raise intensity, mining speed raises up, but there are a huge amount of mistakes then and effective mining drops to around 20-30 kh/s. I think that with this video card effective mining speed should be around 800-900 kh/s. I use newest video card drivers, I've tried number of cgminer settings, but it's allways the same. Someone can help me?

and what drivers are you using ?

Same happens... I use latest NVIDIA drivers. Oh, by the way, my motherboard only supports PCI-E 2.0, but my video card is 3.0, could that be a problem?

Could you drop a link about how to setup sgminer? Would be very helpful for me as a rookie Same as cgminer but with the added bonus of using xintensity or rawintensity instead of regular intensity, you can google those up to find good values for your card. Also, use a bat file to start the miner and add these lines to the start of it setx gpu_max_alloc_percent 100 setx gpu_use_sync_objects 1

you should enable these: setx gpu_max_alloc_percent 100 setx gpu_use_sync_objects 1 cmd as admin

https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparisonThis database has helped me configure my cards many times. There are detailed configs as well as the hashrate people got when trying them. This way you'll know if you're doing something wrong.

I forgot to say, that I get tons of hardware mistakes, even if intensity is only 13...

have you tried 24000 as the TC.
I had loads of errors on a 290 until I changed to 24000, I could then run it at i-20 with a rate of 880 K/HS

You are talking about cgminer, wright? If yes, then I've tried it, still the same. Best I can do is below 400 kh/s at intensity 13. If I raise intensity, lots of hardware errors occurs. If I make TC more than 15000, cgminer not even start.
is this a new machine or were you using a previous card in the computer? Have you deleted any previous config files and started again?

make sure you have deleted all the folders and all of the old drivers and any software that went with the old card. When I moved from my 5830 I had the same issue.

Where should I look for the old folders? I've putted those two settings in, but it's still the same.

if you uninstall your current drivers and reinstall that might delete any other rubbish you have hanging around.
Also if you delete your config file and start that again that might help
