Please advise if you may be able to help. SOV was launched on 10 May 2014, and after massive influx of miners (<900TH) and a couple of sticky blocks, we are now stuck at block 29, whilst some miners are continuing to hash the sovereign, I require a competent developer to help cure, maybe possibly relaunch this coin ASAP.

Seeking:

  • Advice on current situation
  • Fix to get coin moving again
  • Possible hard fork and relaunch
  • Stabilising of coin and wallets

about The Sovereign (SOV)
No PreMine, No InstaMine
We initially launched with 8 minute block time and diff retargeting of 1 block (requires advisory).
confirms are currently set at 125 (initial oversight - needs lowering)
3 coins per block, very long PoW period (144,000,000 coins)
PoS active immediately @ 100% per annum. (6.75 Billion coins total)

There is meagre funding available to pay your time in this endeavour.
please reply here if you are able to help, or email desk@thescribe.eu

thanks

Why not contact the EmbargoCoin devs as they had a similar issue and have implemented source change .....

thanks Marty, we have CG looking into the problem now, it would seem the coin was attacked at launch (there was 900TH on us in the first few hours).
we're looking at a fix now, but will keep your recommendation in mind.

thanks

Yeah, you'll have to retarget faster than every 12 blocks on an 8 minute block chain unless you can keep sustained hashrate on the coin.  For Embargocoin it kind of works to our favor having higher block times as it plays to the Embargo theme of the coin, I did issue a quick fix for our diff adjustment but didn't put it in until block 600 and we are only at 199 right now so we still have a ways to go for the fix, but we are retargetting every 2 blocks (20 min blocks) but still have had a few blocks with hours in between due to fluctuating hashrate.
