If you have an Aussie bitcoin service send me some flyers and i will stick them on the info desk every saturday plus some other days if Im there. Send an email to bitcoinmedia@gmail.com or pm me on the forum. Or join https://www.facebook.com/groups/occupy.melbourne.moderated.group/ and look me up under Occupy Latrobe. City Square in Melbourne gets the highest passing foot traffic in the city fwiw.

Hint: They also have a wishlist on ocupymelbourne.org

It was a pretty epic thing they did today. There was a "drone forum" organised at a local University and OM managed to disrupt it to the point where it failed and all the participants went home lol. Theres a great write up of the event here http://smoyle.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/mic-check-the-drone-forum/

The funniest part was all the audience were sent out by security leaving OM to raid their sandwich table. Considering it was organised by the largest drone manufacturer in the world it was no small feat. I think the security guards secretly enjoyed it because OM has had previous contact with them and supplied coffee on some of their late night shifts.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I did have an idle thought to run an in person bitcoin exchange every saturday at city square in Melbourne but that would need some backing. If you want to trial some kind of POS device for btc in Australia Im willing to consider setting up a booth for it.
