Nah the friend is fine and his work aswell however he agreed to work with me on this project at the wrong time since only a few days later he had a huge banking contract redoing their backend along with a bunch of contractors.

The only problem since is that he kept saying he will have time available between X and Y but then allways busy with work, that just kept me behind and left me not looking for someone to replace him.

Anyhow, improvements to follow.

OK all back to normal now, took bit longer than I anticipated, had to monitor to see if its stable and picked up a few problems along the way.

Some of you may have permanently disabled bonuspool since it went up/down multiple times over a short period, if that is the case you will likely have to restart your miners.

Finally cooling off a touch here, but I don't have my miners up till tomorrow, too much draw and I pop too many breakers when its over 100 outside and the air is running.

INACTIVE ACCOUNTS:

If you are inactive for a payment cycle I will remove your account from the pool. You must contact me first before submitting shares to a inactive account else it will not be paid out. Its easy to figure out if you are inactive, if your payment history doesnt list a entry for the last payment cycle then you were inactive for that duration and should first contact me before mining again.

I need to be stricter about this from now on since alot of users seem to still come and go and this pool doesnt operate like that. I have kept a ton of users on the waiting list which could have been better utilised by adding them if I knew at the time you had no intention to continue mining.

I need to ensure that I am not under or overpopulated and having users signup and never/occasionally use the pool is not helping me balance things at all. I do understand that some users signup and for whatever reason decide not to stay around, I am fine with that. What I dont like is the users who cant seem to make up their mind wether they want to stay or leave and every other payment cycle they submit shares for a few days and vanish.

From now on I will enforce the following changes regarding inactive accounts:

- If inactive for duration of previous payment cycle your account will be deactivated/not payable from the new payment cycle onwards.
- If active and connected to the pool on and off during a payment cycle you will end up flagged as a hopper, there is really no excuse not to remain on the pool and if you dont wish to use us anymore then dont connect to us.

Last but not least:

- Users who set us as backup pool/leaking shares to us, you will not be paid those few satoshis that you keep submitting to us even though I have up till now paid you even though you dont folllow the rules, I dont know why you havnt properly removed us from your backup pool list.


Even though the vast majority of users follow the rules there is a couple of miners who simply make things more difficult than it should be. Again, if you dont want to mine at Bonuspool then please dont, I am not forcing anyone to mine here however I will take steps to force those away who doesnt care about the pool rules.

Gah hopefully it behaves now, had DNS server issues that kept on dying and eventually the cache would reset without me knowing the dns server died.

In other news, I am busy discussing terms and the requirements with a new guy that I am going to hand over the work required for clientside webstats/backend managing all the current "stuff" including some much needed new features and services. As soon as I get him up to speed I will update here, then hopefully not long after the first updates will appear.

Just had 2-3minutes of pool problems, most of you likely wouldnt even have noticed, sorted now.

The webstats search is at times extremely slow and may also timeout due to the way its processing shares and pulling it from DB atm combined with the large sharecount.

All I can say right now is that either try again if it times out or wait for it while its loading, end of payment cycles everyone will get the correct sharecount payout as usual and as long as you submit shares then they will be counted.

Please try to avoid continuously hammering the search, it is what it is right now and hammering it wont make it load faster.

Once the first correction is done the payment cycle will then run once a week from each Wednesday 00:00:00 - next coming Tuesday 23:59:59 so that payment will allways go out by the Wednesday night. This comes out to a 7day cycle rather than 8days and keeps each consecutive payment date the same.
