For your mining rigs, what uptime do you consider to be stable?  I have my rigs to automatically reboot if a GPU becomes sick.  Do you consider 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week between reboots to be stable?  Obviously a 1% higher overclock with 3% additional downtime is not beneficial.  How bleeding edge are your over clocks?

1 week, have a few cards that take a while to settle after a reboot but i would rather loose a few Mhash from not overclocking to the edge and them crash at night than have them running 24/7

After I've dialled in my overclocking settings, my rigs never required a reboot due to a lockup. I've only restarted them for cgminer updates, fan replacement and power outages. Tops I've had is 1.5 months of uptime,

Really? It's stable at 935... I like to run it "safe fast" at 910, 78°c fans at 80% memclock at 450  it's an MSI card

I run my 6990's at 950. They seem to crash at 955+ if I'm gaming. I restart it at least every couple weeks for one reason or another because its my main pc.
My pc's with 5970s that I just use for mining I consider stable at 2 weeks. Most crashes seem to be heat related. I run them between 850-900 mhz. I try to keep them somewhat maxed out, so once in a while a hot day will cause one to crash its drivers. Some more then others. Despite its name the HAF-X case has terrible airflow and crashes the most. My corsair case stays 10 degrees cooler, and runs at 900 mhz without crashes.

These long uptimes that everybody is talking about is inspiring me to dial down the OC a little bit.  I would love to see month+ stability.

I have a few pc's with 3 5970's in them. These are the stable clocks I've gotten.
820< @ 1.049
870< @ 1.100
880 = 1.112
900 = 1.137

Some are more stable then others, not sure if its just heat related or what but the one I run at 850 is 1.100. Think I got it running good at 870 now though.

  Usually it's Windows updates or an occassional crash but my rigs have been up for generally at least two weeks at a time then chosen to reboot.  Pretty sure I've gone at least a month+ on my first rig but by then it's time to dust it out (sitting on a table at home).  My main not-always-mining rig will be rebooted once a week or so though just because I'm using it for a lot of tasks.  Thankfully so far (knocks on wood) that it's just more driver issues sometimes and now that I've dialed things in, not really heat as much anymore.

  All my 5970s are running in Corsair 500R cases and are OC'd to 815 / 825 core with memory in the 500s or as low as I can make it go.  Temps on all the cards and cores are right at 68-72C with fans roughly 60% (with one or two exceptions).

Oh Loaded, who art up in Mt. Gox, hallowed be thy name!  Thy dollars rain, thy will be done, on BTCUSD.  Give us this day our daily 10% 30%, and forgive the bears, as we have bought their bitcoins.  And lead us into quadruple digits

I gave up.  My 6870s just run at stock speed, and I don't care any more.

I have three 5830's  @ 955 core, 395 memory that have been running for 48hrs straight (*ed: only 48hrs since i'm still gradually increasing the overclocks.  they crashed @ 1000core after a few hrs.  so, i dropped it to 925 and have been working up since then).   max temp is 68o, ambient temp is, well, whatever it is in the garage at the moment, the fan is set on manual.... 68o should result in around 55% fan speed, I guess..  it was 75o outside the day before yesterday, which is when it hit that 68o (inside the garage the ambient was probably  ~80-85).

i also use a small floor fan that blows into the case..

Sometime a card cannot be over clocked while other cards are installed. Never heard of anything specific to the 6870 though.

that's how I read the poll:
Code:
1 hour: 0%	# Windows Millenium, Diamond GPUs, faulty extenders,... "I hate this crappy rig"
6 hours: 0% # Windows XP, better-binned Diamond GPUs "I still hate this rig"
1 day: 1.9% ## Windows Vista "Wow, BSODs only once a day but why is everything so damned slow?"
1 week: 39,6% #### Windows 7 "Hey, this system rocks. Stability at last!"
1 month+: 58,5% ####### Non-windows machines only (Windows can't achieve uptime greater than 1 month* as every patch Tuesday requires a reboot :P) "I <3 Linux"
* Obviously untrue but a bit of Windows-bashing is always in order.

I only take my miners offline when I have some maintenance to do.

OK, now this is a true story:
Code:
1 hour: 0%	# Windows 7 going into standby mode every 30 minutes
I'm dead serious guys, look here if you don't believe me  Cheesy
Don't laugh at the user, laugh at how perfectly inadequate Windows is for mining in its default configuration.

Stable is stopping work ONLY when I choose. Anything else is unacceptable and needs fixed.

My small operation has been much more stable since moving away from traditional pools. Previous downtime was only due to DDoS, pool upgrade, or pool failure. Since I've been able to "be the pool operator" I've been running non-stop, zero downtime. I expect that to continue.

I plan on implementing a second P2Pool server on a back up computer and using the appropriate switches to default to that server in case the first server would crash.

Sheesh, another fantastic reason to use P2Pool, it's as reliable as you are.

Barring total black out or interruption from my ISP (both of which I plan to address in the future), I don't foresee my downtime being significant from now on.

Well, my rigs automatically reboot if a GPU locks.  Therefore it can run unattended.  However, that doesn't mean that my OCs are stable.
