Hi. I really need help setting up my 2 antminers s1. I type in the ip address thats on the miner and i get nothing. my browser said it cant connect. I read the setup guide and it talks about changing my pc ip address which i dont know how to do please help, i would really like to have the miners running. thanks.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

How are you connecting your miners and computer?  Is your computer on the same network and connected to the internet or directly to the miner?

Sushi and Dogie have been a big help too.

Don't forget to change the ip on your Ants (at least on the first one ;-)

First try the in-depth guide posted here...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344970.0

and follow the directions posted by unacceptable up there /\ so people can get a clearer idea of how to help  Wink

Have you googled instructions or checked out you-tube?
Once you get going the set-up shouldn't take more than 20 mins

You have to be in the same IP range. I gave you easy, step by step directions.

Obviously you are not following instructions. You need to change ipv4 settings to be on same subnet 192.168.1.x or 192.168.2.x

1. Connect your antminer directly to your computer ethernet port. Don't worry about internet connection yet.

2.Start Button  >>  Control Panel  >>  Network and Internet (View network status and tasks)  >>  Change adapter setting (Left side of the screen)  >>  Local Area Connection (Double Click)  >> Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) then Click on “Properties”  >>  Select Use the following IP address:

Please look at near the cooling fan on the AntMiner.  You’ll find a white sticker with an IP address printed on it.  (Example: 192.168.1.99)

Set your computer's IP address to the following:

IP Address: 192.168.1.254
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

3. Open a web browser and type the IP address printed on the sticker above the cooling fan on the AntMiner. (Example: 192.168.1.99)

A login page will appear on the web page and ask you for the username and the password.  (Default Username: root  Default Password: root)

After log into the control panel, please go to the Status Tab then “Miner Configuration” tab.

Here, please fill out your mining pool information.

Example: Pool 1
Pool1 worker: worker’s name from your mining pool account
Pool1 password: worker’s password from your mining pool account

If you have multiple pools you want to mine, you can add pool 2 and pool3

4. Click Network-->WAN and change the IP to something on your original subnet 192.168.2.98 (run ipconfig when connected to the internet to see what it is)

5. Connect Antminer to router and change your computers ipv4 settings back to what it was before then connect computer to router.

Next time follow the instructions people ask of you. We don't have a magic wand and just calm down.

These are the instructions from here that a changed a bit to reflect current antminers being shipped. Either way easy to follow and same logic:
