House Democratic leaders have been unstinting in their criticism of the select committee established this week to investigate the aftermath of the 2012 attack on an American compound in Benghazi, Libya. Now they are facing a touch choice about whether to join it, cautiously weighing which strategy would be riskier politically and whether their instinct to boycott the select committee might just give it more power in the end.
Democratic leaders have called the new committee “a political ploy,” a “stunt,” a “sham,” a “waste of taxpayer dollars” and, in the words of White House spokesman Jay Carney, “a blatantly political and partisan effort.” This week, two arms of the party, the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, launched a coordinated messaging blitz to undermine the committee and cast Republicans as political opportunists who have established the select committee only because of their interest in raising money and exciting the GOP base before the 2014 midterm elections.
Either way, this could be major trouble for Hillary as it'll damage her leadership credibility and perhaps, show her and her staff's willingness to hang our peeps out to dry in a very troubled area. Naturally, the dems already have their spin terms lined up. After all, according to Hillary, "What difference does it make?"

While the corpses was at her feet she was lying to the face of the family members. Then they put a dude for many months in jail for no reason at all...

A surreal drama indeed.

And the Heroes of Bengazi, who fought and died there, defending Americans from a terror attack, have not to this day been properly honored.

What was the improper honor?

Just imagine "Black Hawk Down" + the  movie "300", but with only 2 guys dying while pushing back many many bad people, with ZERO rescue mission from the US, fighting for many hours.

I hope some famous movie director will make them the immortals they deserve to become...

Not going to happen as long as the Democrats are in power. And with the recent demographic changes, there is ZERO chances of the Republican party coming to power in the future. The GOP dug its own grave. Should have deported the illegals when they were in power.

The improper honor was ignoring their sacrifice.

By comparison I had an uncle who flew bombers in WWII and who received a 77 man marine ceremony at Arlington Cemetery when he died.

I have to say I really don't care that these men at the time of their death were not enlisted Armed Forces.

Hollywood has serious problems with creating content while pursuing ideological blinders and political partisanship.

Every nation / organization has its own propaganda tools. Hollywood is one of the foremost propaganda tools for the NATO. Even the recent movies such as In the Land of Blood and Honey are loaded with propaganda.

Hahaha.  Honor some retard for dying in a banker land grab?  Right.

Pity is the only sentiment those fools deserve.

Um, no, I see it as dying fighting to allow 20+ others to escape from certain death.

It would be fine with me, though, if you, during that fight, stuck around to argue your finer and nuanced points on the Internet until the men protecting you ran out of ammo and the position was overrun.

I have to partially agree with your logic. The Libya invasion was unethical and uncalled for. The huge natural gas and petroleum deposits there acted as a trigger for the invasion. And now the United States is struggling to contain the Pandora's box, which it has opened.

It conflagrates two issues.

First, the political reasons and methods used in Libya.

Second, the selfless acts of two men fighting off a large number of enemy so that 20+ of their comrades could escape.

This is not even considering the ridiculous coverup to come, concerning youtube videos.
