https://ogrr.com/viewtopic.php?f=362&t=513Hey guys,
I thought about posting this at one of the big logo tournament sites but I figured it'd be fun to throw it out there to the community.
This contest will end at 11:59pm Feb 8th, 2012, Pacific Time. Warnings will be posted as the deadline approaches.
Ogrr.com is a community marketplace forum that encourages trade in Bitcoin. It offers the ability to deposit and withdraw Bitcoin for those who don't wish to wait for confirms. It also offers a ratings/feedback system for traders, and some generally useful tools for those trading in Bitcoin.
First place is 100 BTC
Second place is 50 BTC
Third place is 25 BTC
The logo should simply be 'Ogrr', and not include the .com.
To receive your prize, you'll need to provide the image as a vector, with all the layers and everything intact so that it can easily be modified and scaled.
Please do not steal ideas from other entries for your own design. If I like aspects of two designs, I may ask that both entrants work together to come up with a hybrid design that may take both 1st and 2nd places, and then have the team split the 150 BTC prize.
Please do not borrow too heavily from other existing logos that belong to other entities/people/companies. To qualify, your logo must not be legally problematic, violate any existing trademarks.
Entries should be posted and made viewable in the thread at Ogrr. Use the IMG tags to include it in your post if you have it hosted elsewhere, or attach the images to your post. I will attempt to give feedback as often as possible.
While the forum has started with a pretty heavy gamer base, we don't intend to keep it that way so we're not looking to appeal to that crowd especially. It could be fun to have a mascot.. possibly an ogre who says grr a lot, but that's just an idea and certainly not a requirement.. it's not even a well-thought-out idea. Another idea I had was that the O could look like a coin, but it probably shouldn't be a Bitcoin.
I am not pro at running logo contests so if I've forgotten anything important, please let me know.
I'll try to keep up with this forum but I expect most of the discussion on this topic to happen over at the Ogrr forums.
