@CrazyGuy

I read that you are offering a version of Minera that is set-up for the Prisma.  Where can I find the link to this image?  I'm thinking about placing an order and I would like to have everything that I need (PSU, r-pi) ready to go before I do.  Thanks

Yes, I am waiting until I have uart adapters in hand so I can test and release the image to my customers. The image will also be compatible with Rockminer devices.

I have an issue on one of the 3 r-boxes it is running very hot compared to the other 2.
Not sure what to do.

Not the psu. tested problem is the same unit.
set at lower freq 290 vs 320 helped just a bit.

I have not disassembled unit to see if heatsink paste needs a change.

fans work one unit just runs hot.

It did not run hot when it first came.

so failing chip or heat sink paste fali are indicated

please advise

Have you fixed this problem?

yes i did .

Rockminer RBox Rev 2

Update 9/12/2014: Windows installation package now includes new cgminer build for Windows that supports the second gen R-Box and frequencies up to 350

Download Windows Installation Package
Package is available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese(HK) and Chinese(Traditional)

Rockminer Rbox Rev 1
Package Instructions for Running on Windows:
1) Download CGMiner installation msi for your corresponding language:
     - Download Windows Installation Package
2) Run installation Package
3) Run zadig_xp_2.1.0.exe from the dektop or start menu
4) Select your device in the top drop down (CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller) and select WinUSB in the bottom drop down
5) Click "Install Driver"
6) Close Zadig
7) Run "Start Cgminer" from desktop or start menu

I've just spent the whole day trying to get my Revision 2 Rbox to work using the above instructions.
Using default settings for the pool and user (unchanged from settings as downloaded, just for testing),  CGMiner installed and starts but shows no activity on the top command line, ie no hashes although it finds the pool and detects blocks.
I also notice the status light on the unit does not light up  Huh
I'd like to get this up and running in a Windows environment and set it up for solo mining.
Any ideas, tips etc?
I'm currently mining albeit slowly through GUIMiner using the GPU in my system directed to my wallet.
I'd like to be able to do similar with CGMiner and direct that to the same wallet.  Cool

Make sure you are attaching the win usb drivers to that device. Which binary are you pointing to with guiminer? It should be no different than running straight from the command line.

Now if you can explain that in English I might have a chance of getting it running.
I'm competent with hardware, not software, so that is all Greek to me.
GUIMiner is basically set and forget, it installed, detects the hardware (GPU and CPU) and runs.
I expected CGMiner to be the same with the Rbox R2, but there are basically no instructions apart from plugging it in and downloading software.
I need step by step instructions for a NOOB to set this up, installing the software, changing settings, joining a pool or solo mining preferably.  Grin
Without basic instruction this unit is just an expensive paperweight.

Haha, sorry. Check out step 3-6 on the the original box setup. I'll update instructions for the new one to re-iterate.

Sorry bud, I know it's a let down. I'm doing everything I can to get ASICMiner to express the adapters to me. Hopefully I'll have them in within a couple days.

Thanks, I'd used those instructions already and that was how I got the software installed to run, but in the CGMiner interface it isn't registering a USB device, although my computer detects it correctly.
Maybe that has something to do with it not hashing?
Also, during setup I didn't change any pool settings etc and left it so I could get it up and running for testing, figuring I can change that later, is the password and user number in that randomly generated or does it belong to someone?
Told you i'm not cluey when it comes to software.
If I can finally get it hashing, how do I set it up to solo mine, there isn't an option for that in the software to select that I can see?Huh

It's being detected now, not sure why, but the command window goes blank after a period of waiting for work to be allocated .... and there are no menu options shown on the top of that box as there was previously.  Huh

Got it up and running as of last night, so at least 8 hours and it's running flawlessly at a decent rate, averaging around 100GH/s.
Next step is to see if I can swap out the fans for something a bit quieter as I have my computer set up in my bedroom.
I'm thinking of getting another unit now as soon as I can sort out a PSU for it.   Grin

I went to the site and did not see an sd card.

I have the rpi you sold to me a month ago so I only need an sd card. and an usb adapter. If I order one . let me know if I can buy just the sd card with software.
