HW error too high

Hi,

I currently am running 4 antminers s1 ... One of them is connected to a corsair RM750 psu and the hw error is 0.04 whilst I have two other miners with a corsair cx600 psu and the hw error is 1.25 .... why is there this huge difference between the values ? Could it be from the psu? Also these are running on a clock of 393.75mhz .... 200gh/s approx

It could be because you overclocked it and there isn't sufficient cooling. Try lowering the clock.

Is your PSU supplying enough watts? Try lowering the clock.

S1 react in different ways to OC: some models can hold 200ghash for months w/o HW errors, other models cannot stay in OC for more than 2-3 hours with lot of HW errors (then they usually reboot): try to consider a lower clock speed.

I found that some Antminer S1's had loose screws holding the blade ASIC boards to the heatsinks.  Gently tightening these with the right size Allen wrench can improve the thermal path.
You could swap power supplies between your Ants to see if that is the factor in your case.  My impression is that different Ants tolerate different settings in their own way.  Despite these differences, it is a great miner, reliable and very cost effective.
