It's going to take an unprecedented amount of money to get into double digits this time. And it will take even more to keep the price there. The odds just don't look good. Though, depending on how much money you've got at stake, the risk might be worth the potential reward. Since this summer I'm much, much more conservative in my trading. My returns are lower, but I'm also trying to reduce my risk.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

When there's enough commerce in Bitcoin for the objects being exchanged, plus the wealth being stored, to require the equivalent of 100 million dollars to represent.
Or alternatively, once people have confidence that the market will grow to that size in the future.
|
If there is something that will make Bitcoin succeed, it is growth of utility - greater quantity and variety of goods and services offered for BTC. If there is something that will make Bitcoin fail, it is the prevalence of users convinced that BTC is a magic box that will turn them into millionaires, and of the con-artists who have followed them here to devour them.

Interesting question to ask at this time, as many think we are heading below single digit.

I was hoping in November to buy around 1 USD this summer, but that dream seems to be gone...

after they come out of the three another explanation: the dump now is a miner protection move - to discourage new miners from joining for profit alone

Once the average value of commercial transactions in the bitcoin general ledger (based on all existing bitcoins, minus those that are forever lost) is very close to the double digits, and the bulls strongly believe that it would soon exceed the double digit mark. Wait, what’s that buzzing?... It’s those fake honey bees again!
|
Bitcoins are earned, not traded! If you plan on hoarding BTC, you're on my target list. (And yes, it is possible to swim in BTC.) Don't give me that Bull... I'm one of those honey eating Bears that the bees hope to never meet again... Viva la BTC!!!
