Poloniex has decided not to list SuperCoin. Here is why: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652351

Why Poloniex Has Rejected SuperCoin

Poloniex has decided not to list SuperCoin because of some disturbing things we turned up in our code review. I would like to draw your attention to this part of the ANN post:

Quote
- Total PoW coins will be 18.2 millions.
- Total coins (including PoS) will be about 50,000,000.

And these parts of the source code:

Code:
if (dAmount <= 0.0 || dAmount > 150000000.0)

Code:
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 150000000 * COIN;
static const int64_t POW_MAX_MONEY = 50000000 * COIN;

MAX_MONEY is pretty much what it sounds like. This means that the actual maximum supply of SuperCoin is 150 million, not 50 million. Furthermore, the maximum PoW coins is 50 million, rather than the claimed 18.2 million. The 150 million number appears twice in the code, so it can hardly be considered an accident.

We did not find evidence of an existing hidden premine, but extra coins could potentially be minted all at once at the end of the PoW phase, sent to exchanges via the "anon" feature, and dumped.

We have other concerns about the coin, particularly concerning the proposed method of anonymity, but the shenanigans with the maximum supply is sufficient for us to reject this coin.

ei dev, i apologize for my incompetence: the total amount of the coins will be around 50 millions... ok, but when? Within a few of days? one month? one year?
thanks

After 2 years. Because we have 2 years long PoS plan.

that's great, then we will have a low inflation and the price will goes up then more people will join us.

until now, not many people realized supercoin has a testnet Anon wallet now.

when everybody realize this, the price will sky rocket.

total PoW coins will be about 18.2 millions and total coins (PoW + PoS) is estimated at about 50 millions. This is new specs...

it's about 1/3 of old plan... :-)

true

"total PoW coins will be about 18.2 millions and total coins (PoW + PoS) is estimated at about 50 millions. This is new specs...

it's about 1/3 of old plan... :-) "

read the words of Supercointeam ....  not lie , inicially was 150 millions . Poloniex are not a serious business

Its still 150 million  Roll Eyes

Unless you want worthless coins because the dev grabs another 100m and dumps them, just keep buying and holding..

And Cinny and Silkcoin ?  ... sell all my cinny and silkcoins ?

Sorry if my initial post was unclear, I was just pointing out that a lot of coins have the MAX_MONEY variable set much higher than what the actual maximum number of coins is. That alone is not proof that SUPER (or SC or Cinni or any other coins that works that way) is a scam.

They could sneak in the coins later if they wanted to with a new wallet from what me reading. No reason to have the max higher than it should be.

Abinito, look at the code of other coins, we judged to quik, poloniex was just spreading fud.

guys me and abinito were just trying to prevent people from being scammed, but we misjudged, seems there
is nothing wrong at all, poloniex should've looked at other coins's codes first before tweeting fud.

If the devs were going to do a hard fork that changed the total number of coins to scam people, why would they leave a "hint" that they were going to do it in an earlier version? That's like calling the police and telling them you're going to rob a bank before you do it.

It also shows that Busoni may not be as methodical in his code checking as he should be.

Now all devs know they can sneak in more coins if their max is higher than it should be with a new fork. Besides, why would devs put in max higher than their coin supply? Makes no sense. Please explain
