I disagree: Dogecoin took psychology into account while setting the number of coins.

It has no place on my Bitcoin node though, because I only have enough disk space for one popular crypto-currency. Namecoin has a spot in my heart (and on my SSD); I hope it succeeds.

Namecoin is a coin that implements at the same time a decentralized domain name system. An decentralized id-storage was added recently.

You can either mine these coins or buy them at an exchange, like btc-e.com.

There are initiatives to accomplish that. To make it easy to use will take time however. I think that the id-storage will be widely used earlier than the dns-feature.
