BTC
ETH
XMR
DAGcoin
Mark (my new project, coming up this year)

Hey Risto good to see you here again. Any suggestions for us?
I haven't heard DAGcoin, I'll check it. What about Mark? Is this another game project that use in-game currency as altcoin?

At present, I'd invest in:

BTC
ETH
XMR
DAGcoin
Mark (my new project, coming up this year)

About the same in each..

Isnt a DAGcoin a scam coin??? One of the biggest scam artist of the country runs this thing. Since when does cryptocurrencies give BONUSES for references??? Smells really fishy to me.

The portfolio presented, minimises the total loss risk, and is hedged about most probable scenarios 2017-2020. It includes interesting new techs, and DAGcoin may be a pump but will nevertheless net obscenely in this market environment. A 10-bagger for all who dare to enter the 'MLM'ish coin...

(If I had not bought XMR in 2014, I'd also have missed out, think about it! This thread is the commemorative of my first altcoin purchase ever, ~5,000 XMR, in 2014-5-24, by solicitation of David Latapie (RIP).

Thinking that gold is a commodity shows how much brain damage the mainstream media has caused. Gold is thousands of years considered money and even central banks buying it today. Just consider the percentage of industrial usage of gold vs total mined gold stored as investment in bars, coin or jewellery. The same ridiculous statement as saying that Bitcoin is a commodity.

I miss the good old days when crypto was in hands of true visionaries and people who think different.

PMs don't feel indestructible. We could find a new method of detection or mining and have 10x the gold we had before in one week. Or even molecular adjustment of some other material in a modern process and then what. Where is the price?

In cryptos, we have ASICs for part 1, sudden increase in production. But at least we cant have part 2, sudden discovery of many more coins. (except the scammy pre mines ofc  Smiley  )

xcp fills a niche at the current implementation of the protocol, however this niche is small to very small compared to the dominant private decentralized ledger we are all looking for (and probably already found)

Just a bloody period for all crypto over the last couple of months.

Still trying to do work on indexing, but I have a record of coinmarketcap showing total crypto cap at $8.6 billion on August 4th.

Just two months later, we're at $4.6 billion for a whopping 46.5% slide.  Not a lot of hiding places.

Some people are just looking for excuses to start a fight. Either they are naturally childish and belligerent or they deliberately try to divide and spread FUD.

Now wonder who have interest to weaken both XMR and BBR communities by playing them off against each other...

In light of the recent Satoshi hack it made me start thinking about the bitcoin "backup coin".

How long until from a technical perspective a cryptonote coin (Probably Monero or Boolberry) can handle the # of addresses & transaction volume of bitcoin?  (Knowing that litecoin COULD is partially where I believe it's value comes from)

It is quite amusing to see the OP ( Legendary Donator ) gone scammer even after donating BTC to the community. This thread is a shame to digital ecosystem and should be closed.

Looks more like mental illness imo, combined with drugs and alcohol abuse, not very amusng at all really.

If risto gets treatment and stays sober he might make a come back.

Risto tipped several of us about the Monero being good. I bet a few people got rich thanks to that.

Sad end for sure.

Absolutely agree ... 3 years ago i have been reading Rpietila wisdom and it was heavy and wise stuff, loads of economics and math and all interesting things. Now  whats left is only madman ravings. I think he's different person now. Possibility that account is being controlled by another party that only posts on his behalf. Anyway its a shame... a someone who has been so helpful to the community at first turned out to be a scammer. Huh

Scammed people. Turned mentally ill. Is now in mental care. Says the rumors at least

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.
