Project Desc - Block reward is 20 coins per block for the first 525,600 blocks (~1 year), - After that 10 coins per block for the next 525,600 blocks, - After that 5 coins per block with no further reduction of block reward. - Block target time is 60 seconds and retargets every 30 blocks (30 minutes) - Total coins around 76,212,000 coins after 25 years. - Block maturity 460 (+20 buffer, 480 total) Thanks to Blue and Cinnamon for your help in putting this coin together. Electron - ELT now merged on all pools http://eu3.blakecoin.comhttp://ny2.blakecoin.comhttp://la1.blakecoin.com*make sure to use pool version of cgminer can be found on the "Getting Started" page or on main site took longer as did all three at same time! *had a complaint last time for Dirac that all pools did not merge at same time hence why I did it this way this time less than 5 seconds diffrence in start time solo is going to be faster for next few hours if you just wanted ELT

A true ninja launch , first I heard about it..... ----------edit ---- someone must have heard about it since total merged network hash rate & difficulty somewhat lower no doubt as people are switching to solo mine Electron !! and then there were FIVE............
Within 6-10 hours difficulty will adjust to level of the other coins ( my guess after a quick peek at the source) ....
then everyone can mine 5 coins at the same time !!

I wonder what drives some miners mine all these blake coins which have literally no value (yet). Soon we will be merge mining 100 coins which even won't be added to any exchange because they will not be worth adding. There is no innovation in those single coins other than ability of being merge mined (what apparently decreases their uniqueness and value). The merged mining technology is nice idea but we need to bring it to next level and think how to add value to these shitcoins. So far this seems to be just a a nice hobby for IT nerds who believe it's better to mine 5 shitcoins at the same time rather than 1 :-). But still 5 x 0 = 0.

Merge mining is fine idea. But why the hell are you adding just shitcoins without any added value. What do you expect of that? I think all miners would like to know what are the plans with these coins because at the end they need to pay electricity bills. Who is gonna buy those coins? I mine coins because it's a hobby (and have real cheap electricity), I make real profits by trading. So I mine whatever I want, one day Blake, another day Mjollnir, then BlackCoin and so on. I already realized long time ago that sticking my rig to one coin for longer period is in 90% pure loss unless you mine on some wafflepool and convert immediately to BTC. But mining altcoins directly and holding can be extremely profitable if that particular shitcoin skyrockets, but it's just pure gamble and most probably most people stick to wrong coins.

they are being bought and sold on the exchanges maybe you should look and I am happy to accept coins into the merge on these conditions: No premine No IPO we will work together to make this a strong community one based on mutual aid, if you dont like it go mine something else and of course like I said if you think you can do better then please show us all how its done with your own effort! The merge mining is not an "idea" its reality and has taken months of hard work just to get this far

Make a coin that does this and stop complaining BLC, PHO, BBTC and Dirac are all on exchanges and so will this one! 0 value my ass go mine something else if you dont like it or make something better Don't take me wrong. I prefer to call them "fakecoins." "Hey buddy, look! I have a million fakecoins. I am rich!"

haha its not that easy I used blake-256 thoughout the wallet thats why so many can be merged, the merkle gen in HeavyCoin is not same thus will not work "technically possible" of course so easy you do it

Yeah. Glad to be with first miners. Mined some soloblocks. Maybe not so big amount, but still interesting. Hope this coin will not die like others when Dev disappears and gives a shit about coin.

Why don't we create Blake clones of all those latest hyped coins with Proof of Steak, Anonymous, DarkSend and I don't know what other bullshit features? These current Blake coins are quite boring to be honest. As I am monitoring market and trading on Mintpal daily it's quite clear that the most profitable coins have always all latest features included. :-) Apparently every single stupid clone is able to gain some significant volume at least for couple of days till it's dumped to hell.

they are being bought and sold on the exchanges maybe you should look and I am happy to accept coins into the merge on these conditions: No premine No IPO we will work together to make this a strong community one based on mutual aid, if you dont like it go mine something else and of course like I said if you think you can do better then please show us all how its done with your own effort! The merge mining is not an "idea" its reality and has taken months of hard work just to get this far Can you add MjollnirCoin? But it would have to change algo from Hefty to Blake if it's technically possible. Hefty was first time used by HeavyCoin. Also such cool algo (low temps). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577437.0Hefty is similar to "Heavy" (the algorithm in Heavy Coin) but it's not the same. Try mining Mjollnir with the "Heavy" miner and you will get all rejects - have to admit I made that mistake because they have such similar names.

Most devs just change PoW algo but using Blake-256 which is faster than SHA-256D I performance enhanced the whole wallet by about 3x its why so many can be merged on a server and why it has some compatibility issues with other coins especially the merkle root hash and checksums all Blake-256 vs most coins SHA-256D (PoW algo is just for work on most coins)

Is the signing algo different? AFAIK the slowest thing on the wallets is ECDSA so that should be the first thing to enhance if one is going to make wallets go faster.

For the most part this thread has a great vibe and I love the name Electron (not as much as Photon though !!)
Thanks to all who continue to support Blake Coin, Photon, Dirac, BlakeBitcoin and now Electron .........
Smooth launch and the merged pools are working hitting blocks of all five coins with the same hash power.
I know most read and don't post but lurk with curiosity and there are always a few problem children on any coin launch. (ignore feature useful)
I echo the words of BlueDragon747: If you do not like the Blake Coin Ecosystem that we are building for the future you do not have to mine our coins and post negativie insults to the forum. We do not use 'fake' accounts to bump our threads. We do not work with others to pump our coins on exchanges and make promises of increasing value then vanish and abandon our projects. I see plenty of that going on in the alt coin world however.
None of the five coins in the Blake Ecosystem was premined. Just remember that. Pick any five coins at random and see how many were premined ? None of the five coins in the Blake Ecosystem was launched without wallets or all other necessary tools to allow anyone in the world the ability to start mining within a few minutes. How many coins can say that ? True value is built up from trust and a strong blockchain and takes time and support of developers and miners.
Finally to those who say ''' well Cinnamon you often are critical of things on here"" yes that is true I post some remarks that are critical if I find good reason. I have never visited any thread of any forum and say 'this is a shitcoin' although I may have criticized some projects for their poor design, not having source code that can be compiled at launch, make claims that are someones opinion not based on facts ect........
The Blake Coin family keeps the drama and bs as low as possible. Our network has been built with the blood, sweat, tears, and work of many people. It will continue to grow. When you examine the alternatives to the average miner -- the Blake Coin system we are building now will grow because we have the right recipe of technology to meet the needs of the future.

Love the blake ecosystem...
Just one question - any other experienced pool operators working on setting up additional merged blake pools? As more coins get added to the ecosystem, I'm thinking this will be key or we will have 5+ coins with lopsided distribution..
Hoping more are willing to jump in..
Thanks for your work and code BlueDragon!

It is not solo miner its merge mined and not multi pool or any bs What is Merged Mining? Familiarize yourself now: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/273/how-does-merged-mining-workso from mining you get all 5 coins with merged pools, all coins are listed on exchanges should be 2 more coins joining the merge by next weekend

No one has sold this coin for less than 10k. And if you do, you're throwing away money and should just ship me your ELT to trade for you. Seriously.
Don't let the total coins fool you. The block reward is 20 for 1 year, then 10 for 1330 yrs!
Only around a million per month this year will be produced. I can buy every coin in existence right now at 10k for only 10 BTC... and I damned sure will.
hehe my bags are also open to any dumpers selling cheap coins

How many Electron mined a year?
The block target time is 1 minute. The initial reward for the first 525,600 blocks is 20. So the first year should be around 60 * 24 * 365 * 20 = 10,512,000 After block 525,600, the block reward reduces to 10 per block, so should be 60 * 24 * 365 * 10 = 5,256,000 per year Updated the op with new info and links. Thanks to everybody for the support so far.

Mining Rig Rentals is the first (to my knowledge) rig rental site to support Blake-256! Renters:- Make rental choices based on "actual" hash rate. Their system tracks the past 24 hour hash rate with a moving average.
- Backup pools! Have you ever found yourself trying to be ready for a coin launch only to find out your first pool choice isn't up and running? Their system takes care of that, by letting you set up 5 pools in a fail over.
- Backup pools! Have you ever found yourself trying to be ready for a coin launch only to find out your first pool choice isn't up and running? Their system takes care of that, by letting you set up 5 pools in a fail over.
Rig owners:- Website pool manager. Their system allows you to change what pool your miner is connected to right from the website. Allows 5 pools to be configured with fail over.
- Hash rate graphs!
- Algorithm choices include: Scrypt, Scrypt-N, x11, SHA-256, SHA3, and now Blake-256!
- There is no fee to use the site/service for the miner controls or hash rate graphs. You never have to list your rig for rent if you don't want to.
Not sure about the whole "renting thing?" No problem, it's 100% free to list your rig with their service and the backup pools/hashrate graphs are completely on the house. If you decide to try leasing your rig in the future, you will already be setup. They have lots of website/interface improvements in the pipeline, with a very active development team. Still have questions? Drop by irc.freenode.com and join #miningrigrentals All suggestions are welcome. This coin seems to be the dirty little secret of savvy traders. Block reward of only 20, no premine, and it's going for 10k as people load up and say as little about it as possible.

auxpow.cpp:127:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/auxpow.d: No such file or directory compilation terminated. make: *** [obj/auxpow.o] Error 1
There is no obj directory in fact, that might have something to do with it. Did I miss something or repo missing something?

Is this coin going somewhere? No reply from the dev, no activity in the thread, and no indication of plans or timelines. Should it already be on exchanges? Is it just for miners to dump on traders? The price is only going down.

Electron is now on CryptoCoinExplorer.comhttp://elt.cryptocoinexplorer.com http://www.elt.cryptocoinexplorer.comThe CCE3 explorer is under current development with plans to add new features and the Electron explorer will be updated as the CCE3 software is updated. Part of sponsorship includes a seed node. This node can be hard coded into a future version of the Electron client/daemon, or used as an addnode in ones' conf file. elt.altcointech.net To use as an addnode: addnode=elt.altcointech.net
Because of the way Cloudflare works, one cannot use the direct elt.cryptocoinexplorer.com address as an addnode.

Sorry oot this weekend so have not bee quick to respond. I will contact bittrex to see what we can do to keep ELT listed. Also working on some projects to start promoting the coin. Any help is also welcome. Losing bittrex would be unfortunate but not the end of the road. Plan is to develop this coin long term. Will focus on alternatives if bittrex de-list ELT and hopefully get it listed again in the future.

Wow so mining this from day one just made more in less than 20 days than most available coins. AND for just one of the merged coins. Blake merged mining is a mature miners market. It took intellect and foresight to realize this from day one. Can't wait for Blake ASIC miners put me down for 3 hehe

I'm sure this wouldn't thrill miners, but for investors the coins in the merged pool need to be on CoinWarz or something of that sort. I've never mined, so I'm not sure how miners figure out what to mine other than that.
Anyone know more about this?
coinwarz has said they will be looking adding blake-256 coins to their site but have a couple of other things to roll out first this was via twitter

With the recent pump on Bittrex I'm sure some of you have sold a few Electron. Can I suggest that you use some of the profits to support the other blake merge mined coins by putting up buy walls with some of the profits (not buy the coins outright at market price but put in buy support near the top with a buy order left over a long period of time). There would be a chance you would get sold into over time but these coins are very cheap right now and that wouldn't be such a bad thing would it? I'm thinking Blake and Dirac here as they are also on Bittrex but let's not forget the other B+ and PHO on the other exchanges.
If whenever one of the coins got pumped we did this then over time this would provide support for the blakecoin ecosystem that would multiply over time. Simple isn't it!

Mac wallet is excellent. Was a bit confused though by the preference description "Start electron on system login - Only if you want to 'energize''. Does "energize" do something or is this humor? Love the fast transactions. eAzDVjqPyd1yKGf2zZ7dYSdw24bmMpshSR

Hello everybody I am happy to introduce Altdice to the Electroncoin community. It's a provably fair dice game pretty much like Satoshi Dice. http://elt.altdice.netTo play, choose your favorite odds and send a transaction to the associated address, with an amount anywhere from min bet to the max bet. A Lucky number between 0 and 65535 will be picked up for you, based on your bet transaction ID. (Provably fair, of course) If your Lucky number is below the target number you bet on, then you win your bet amount * Prize Multiplier which is paid out directly to your wallet. If you lose, you get 0.0001 ELT back to your wallet. The game requires 1 Electroncoin confirmation to process a bet. 98% expected payout. 2% edge house. Come and multiply your ELTs ! You can win up to 1,200 ELTs per single bet ! Have a try :-) Send any amount from 0.1 ELT to 800 ELT to eBbknH5bGAsxyCuGbqD57TqU8BFuTa6LGT => This is the 85% chance of winning game address. It pays out x1.153 your bet amount automatically to your wallet if you win. I wish endless fun to players and the best of luck on http://elt.altdice.net Feel free to send a PM or Contact Us on the website for any reason. Feedbacks are always welcome !

I think having a maximum coin supply of 8 billion is a mistake. I think ELT should transition to POS after 500,000 blocks (roughly one year) that should ensure that it doesn't end up worthless.

You need someone doing just PR for the coin - to keep it in people's consciousness via social media etc. - absolutely vital given the pace of altcoins where even an hour is a long time and silence is taken as a bad sign.

Dev are you working on anything special? I can't see what caused this price drop though?
There are too many other alts, there is also the massive coin total and the fact that the coin doesn't have any significant social media presence/PR or any obvious plan for increasing it's value. In alts things move quickly and coins also get forgotten quickly. If a coin is silent or has too low a profile it gets left behind and doesn't last long.

Yes it's not worth it if the developer is clueless about PR and/ moving the coin forwards. There are 101 coins that have that and more - yet they are still floundering.

@CrowdWhale, thanks for posting a reply and some of the information behind electron.
I can certainly see why people would be concerned about the price drop. The price is determined by market forces and there are lots of market forces in play. I will continue to focus on expanding adoption and utility of electron. In terms of marketing, there is an ongoing giveaway on cryptocointalk.com. Also, a couple of people have agreed to help promote the coin for donations. Unfortunately, there was no premine (as is with all merged mined blake coins (so the speed of development will have to go as resources are avaliable. If you can help, please consider donating to the development fund. The address is in the op.

This is why I support premines. But this one doesn't have one, so it's up to investors who seem to hate premines. Sometimes you get what you ask for! Boo! I mean, Yay!
Dev: Could you explain your reasoning behind the large MAXCOINS value? I understand you probably want the coin to grow with use far into the future, but technology will change enough over the next 1300 years that I see this max value as detrimental to the perceived value of the coin. You would instantly create more interest if you were to bring the max more in line with the block reward.
Just my opinion, but perhaps you have a reason I haven't thought of.
Also there will be 10 million coins in the first year, then 5 million per year after that until we get to 8 billion. I just think that is flooding the market with too many. Psychologically it will put people off investing particularly if you consider that there are less than a million at the moment.

a) 7 Billion, not 8 Billion.
b) Why do you care how many coins there will be in 1331 years when the coin will likely no longer exist (and neither will Bitcoin)?
c) The block reward is what matters. That's the rate of supply growth. 28,800/Day is a very small growth rate in comparison to the vast majority of cryptos.
It would be incredibly cheap to buy every coin in existence right now. I personally have a minimum value stored in my head, which I won't share, and if the price hits that level I will buy until there's nothing left to buy. The math says this coin is already a steal. The only reason I'm not buying right now is because I have the market share I want and because there's still a chance I can get them cheaper. People look at the max coins and don't see the whole picture. Max coins in a thousand plus years is MEANINGLESS.
That said, I do plan to bug our good dev here about the issue. Since max coins is so meaningless I see no reason to have it set there. Besides... how do you even have a "max coins" if it's proof of work? You can't.
It's the block reward that matters.
I'm sorry but I fully intend to be here in 1000 years + Actually the problem is the coins aren't produced as slowly as you think it's roughly 10 million in the first year and then 5 million every year after that. So after 5 years there will be 30 million. Also the 7 billion (not 8 my mistake) is more a psychological issue.

Just for kicks let's put the price at 10,000 sats.- 1 BTC = 10,000 ELT
- 700,000 ELT = 70 BTC = $42,000
- 28,800 ELT/Day = 2.88 BTC/Day During 1st Year
- 14,400 ELT/Day = 1.44 BTC/Day After 1st Year
Year 1 Market Cap @ 10,000 sats = 70 BTC + 2.88 BTC/Day = 1051.2 BTC = $630,720 Do you think this is sustainable? Market Cap at 1 Year0.00010000 BTC/ELT = $630,720 0.00100000 BTC/ELT = $6,307,200 0.00500000 BTC/ELT = $31,536,000 I think it is. If only it worked that way but the absolute numbers do have a psychological impact. Doge is a good example of how large amounts of coins reduce perceived value in people's minds. A more extreme example would be XXL coin.

Thanks for the math guys. The max number was unchanged from blakecoin. I personally would be happy to live another 50 years, and would be delighted if Electron is still relevant, in its current form, in another 20 years. I completely agree that the max value has psychological value but feels that it is almost irrelevant. I think the math that matters, as has been correctly pointed out, is the number of coins actually minted. I believe value is going to fluctuate since there are lots of coins being produced right now relative to available supply. This will certainly slow down. Electron was only released on 5/25. Hmm, 22 days old, if my math is correct I personally have a preset price in my head as well. I have no problem with the math being the way it is. I think it rewards the careful investor who actually did the math. Wouldn't you agree?

Are you trolling me?
It looks like you are trolling me. The statement of market values for different numbers of coins completely misses my point. Also at no point did you state the number of coins explicitly. You just calculated the valuations based on a theoretical value of 10K sats (which may have required those values but I wasn't going to go through your calculations to check). All your post was saying in essence was - here is a list of theoretical calculations of value - and they seem OK. I did not realise that your definition of acceptable numbers of coins and mine are quite different. I don't think 30 million coins in 5 years is a small number or indeed slow growth. If the number of coins/production is an issue for me you can be pretty certain it will be an issue for others.

I am 100% against a hard fork at this time. I don't see any reason for it. If someone wants to fork the coin, please remove any logos, graphics, names, that resemble Electron. I certainly will not support it. My plan is to develop over the first year while the blockchain and user base mature. I am prepared to buy all the coins that are mined in the first year, if that's what people want, as in sell their coins to me.

You can't buy them all at the price they would be worth if this project were advancing at a reasonable pace. Why start a public/final blockchain and put it on several exchanges if your development timeline is a year out?

Vanitygen for electronContinuing from the blakecoin thread ... Ok, thanks kramble. Electron should be almost the same as blakecoin, except with using 92 as the address starting instead of 26 for BLC. The hashing part was untouched.
OK, it should just work using ./vanitygen -F compressed -X 92 pattern (using my hacked version at https://github.com/kramble/FPGA-Blakecoin-Miner/tree/master/vanitygen) EDIT: No it won't work as is, since the blake checksum is only applied to -X 26. You'll need to change util.c (see the previous commit for the file), around line 129. EDIT2: Also vanitygen.c line 397 may need changing. So I've got three variants of the code to check, need to compile an electron wallet first (2 hour job on raspi, quicker on ubuntu, once I sort out a VM for it). EDIT3: That took longer than I expected. Yes, both changes are needed, I'll take this onto your thread now as it's OT here. Give it a try (check if the electron wallet will import the private key, and that the resulting address is the same as the one generated). Also try sending some coin to the addresss, then import the private key (into an empty wallet) and try spending the coin. Mogrith: Doing a paper wallet (like bitaddress.org) is beyond my skill set, but a competent web/javascript developer should be able to do it easily. It just needs a javascript version of blake256, 8 round variant (which is the slightly tricky bit) to do the custom checksum. I've tested this using the electrond daemon on unbuntu 12.04 ( not tested sending any coin yet I have tasted my own dogfood and it's yummy ELT to eKram and eKram to eCoin) You need to start with my hacked version of vanitygen from https://github.com/kramble/FPGA-Blakecoin-Miner/tree/master/vanitygenYou will need to compile it yourself (works ok on raspi and ubuntu, not tested on windows), but first edit two files: util.c line 129, change if (blake_flag == 26) to if (1) vanitygen.c line 397, change if (addrtype == 26) to if (1) make vanitygen (OK on ubuntu, but raspi needs the top line of Makefile editing to remove -march=native) Now run it ./vanitygen -F compressed -X 92 eCoin And annoyingly, it works fine on raspi but takes a while to get going on ubuntu. Perhaps because I ran it in a VM? As a side issue, you need to make a couple of changes in your git repo to fix the daemon build mkdir src/obj chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

As a side issue, you need to make a couple of changes in your git repo to fix the daemon build mkdir src/obj chmod +x src/leveldb/build_detect_platform Thanks Kramble, I will give the vangen a try. For github, I am using the windows client and it annoyingly won't let me make an src/obj directory. I will try to make it on Ubuntu. May I send some ELT your way as a token of appreciation?

Current projects are the website, online wallet, and twitter tipbot. I am doing my best to support ELT prices with my own BTCs. If people would prefer I don't do it, I'd be happy not to. Hi, Electron Dev. How are you? Spirit for you. Go the moon!! I hope Electron can return the coin to the top market position in Bittrex. Also I hope you can apply your coin on Poloniex. Good Luck !! Good job!! Thank you
Put in a request to be listed on Poloniex. Will keep everybody posted when the voting starts.

Why would Poloniex list it? Bittrex was going to ditch it until people (including myself) asked them not to. Now I'm several BTC in the hole and wondering how I could be such an idiot. You think Bittrex is going to keep this coin listed with no volume?

Worry on how long will Bittrex keep this coin with current low volume? I guess a coin on there has to have low volume for over a month before they start thinking about delisting it.

I updated photon to add support for qr codes in the win qt wallet. For Electron everything was all in place so it was just a matter of building it. Here is an unofficial Windows Qt Electron wallet with QR code support enabled. http://www.mediafire.com/download/q7pajc75qm0lltv/electron._with_qr_support_7zNo changes to source were necessary , the dll file in the zip is probably only necessary for some....depending on which version of windows you are running.

Interesting. Just 0.07btc would take the price on bittrex from current levels up to 4500 sats. With the current levels of volume this wouldn't last long without the buy support but it just shows how easily this market can rise.

The Electron Explorer at elt.cryptocoinexplorer.com has just been updated to the latest build of CCE 3.5. Because of the light colored nature of the background, which is the splash screen from the QT client, some of the glass effects do not look as good as they could. If the community has a darker background they want to use, please send it my way, otherwise I will try and tweak the coloring at a later date. Note I have forked the official Electron repo and compiled an updated wallet which you can get here.... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8503hoyr74bWU3YVBCZUJfSTg/edit?usp=sharing My copy of the source code on github (not the official source is here) https://github.com/photonproject/Electron-ELT Changes include: 1) In my source code i deleted many unnecessary files and created an obj directory in the src directory. 2) I added a fairly recent checkpoint 3) Wallet was compiled with qr code support and with openssl 1.0.1h Known issues still not fixed : some rpc console commands like getblocktemplate craash the client. Photon does not have this problem but Electron and most other coins in the blake 256 family do suffer from this. Note it is not related to this updated build this glitch was present in the initial release and every release after until now. Eventually I will have time to correct it. I am also working on a few other things with the other core blake 256 developer while Bluedragon747 is slightly busy. We are looking at a few possible 'enhancments' -- The developer of Universal Molecule and I will certainly keep you posted on the new developments we are working on and testing. Our core team is pretty solid and the future is looking bright. Special thanks to everyone mining and the exchanges in particular Atomic who has supported the blake 256 family of 6 coins now the most. Thank you Byron. There should be updates on a few other coins in the blake 256 family later on tonight or tomorrow EDIT 1 NOTE I FOUND A WORK AROUND FOR THE RPC CONSOLE ISSUE SEE THIS POST ON THE BLAKE COIN THREAD I JUST PUT UP !!! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=306894.msg8394377#msg8394377

Finally i was able to pin down the rpc console error (that I think I am the only person who ever noticed) and pushed code to my fork on github with a fix. A similar fix was pushed for Photon, BlakeCoin and B+ . The dev. of UMO is aware of the issue and the fix and communicated to me that he was going to examine it and do his own tests and push it when he is ready. It is certainly not a critical issue. The changes are here https://github.com/photonproject/Electron-ELT/commit/bd9a439bab26dd38cc933e1cb1330a38ada53aeeHere is an updated windows qt wallet with open ssl 1.0.1h and qr code support: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bz8503hoyr74QjF1UjJ4V1RscDQ/edit?pli=1On an unrelated note , some trivia for you: The famous physicist Richard Feynman who helped shape the standard model stated in theory the entire universe could be made up of just ONE electron. Yes it is true, look it up if you don't believe me

The famous physicist Richard Feynman who helped shape the standard model stated in theory the entire universe could be made up of just ONE electron.
I think his argument was that all the electrons in the universe can be seen as manifestations of one single electron. You'd still need other particles. The idea is that a positron (anti-electron) is mathematically equal to an electron moving backwards in time. A single electron, whizzing to and fro in space and time, could explain all the electrons and positrons in existence. It also ties in neatly with the balance of matter and antimatter -- you can turn a photon into an electron-positron pair or vice versa, but never a single electron or positron. However, it's more like a fun way of looking at things, rather than a physical theory, as it doesn't give any new predictions over the Standard Model. Nevertheless, you can still see its influence in Feynman diagrams.

The Electron explorer at elt.cryptocoinexplorer.com has been updated to the latest build of CCE 3.5Changes: The top 100 balance list has been replaced with the "rich" page. The new rich page displays the top 1000 balances and has an owners field. The owners field is a future update that will allow people to claim an address by verifying ownership with a signed message. The coin information page now includes the genesis block time-stamp message. A navigation button has been added to the main CCE home page.

ok, thanks for patience , here is a windows qt electron build with the signature fix from dreamwatcher (thanks to him also for the code) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8503hoyr74UGt2MGNaaldpRDA/edit?usp=sharingNote / this is an unofficial build by me from my fork of the electron source here which I believe the developer will either merge or update as he sees fit when he has time. https://github.com/photonproject/Electron-ELTIt is tested on windows 7, 8 and 8.1 by me no issues, if you have any with the wallet please let me know. see the most recent change here thanks Dreamwatcher (note i changed the pro file since this is now built with open ssl1.0.1h and I just cut out the references to my own build system ) https://github.com/photonproject/Electron-ELT/commit/9a05be69881ada5ae21529ec9d0e3cee7b8a3426Here are the total changes I made to my fork of electron source code (there are 6 to date including the most recent) https://github.com/photonproject/Electron-ELT/commits/masterThey are all sound, correct ect... No one has reported any issues or problems. I think bluedragon747 would agree as he merged (some only the ones that needed updating) to blake coin and I see the B plus developer merged similar commits also from my fork. I appreciate all the support from other members of the team and the entire community of everyone involved mining the blake 256 family of coins. I also want to again thank all the exchanges who have listed coins in the blake 256 family. We really do have the superior technology and there are plenty of other things in development for several of the coins. Real world uses, payment systems, trading platforms , incredible games that will use some of the coins for money and much more. For an excellent hardcore math detail of 'why' blake 256 is as great as I am saying I suggest you see a few of the comments on the blake coin thread on this page below. There are external references to academic papers backing up what I am stating for those (like me) who don't just 'believe' everything I read just because someone posted it to the internet. Love to all. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=306894.2580

Security-testing a new website to trade ELT-BLC-PHO directly with each other. Everything has been testing out smoothly. I would like to ask the community to help with strengthening the security by offering a 0.1BTC bounty for anybody who finds a major security hole that can disrupt the service or any exploits that would allow coins to be stolen, etc. So yes, this is an open permission to hack the server. I do ask that if you hack it, please don't take too many coins, wipe my server OS, wipe my databases, reveal my codes, and please do let me know what flaws you found. The site is at http://www.blaketrader.com Once we are done with the security testing, we will formally announce it and go to open beta. Thanks.

Sounds good. I will email you.
Blaketrader has seen some good hacking activities. So far so good. Keeping fingers crossed.
Is anybody interested in making a flash video for a bounty? I am looking for a short flash video that shows how to trade PHO/BLC/ELT using blaketrader. Bounty is 0.2 BTC for the best video (to be determined by me or the community if I can't decide). End of the bounty is in 1 week, 9/27/14, 10AM PST. Thanks! EDIT: Doesn't sound like anybody is interested in the video. Gonna have one of the forum member make it instead.

Updates on BlakeTrader.
Changed the Lithium client to the latest built by Cinnamon. Things have been running smoothly so keeping my fingers crossed.
There has also been an attack by an individual manipulating the market rates. Some coins were lost. It was my fault/laziness for not coding the rate-checking codes sooner. The reserves took a hit, but this should be replenished over next few weeks.

I am thinking of changing the reward structure of ELT from
Year 1, 20 per block Year 2 on, 10 per block
To
Year 1, 20 per block Year 2, 10 per block Year 3 on, 5 per block
Will put this into the source code next month. Please let me know if anybody have any objections or any other suggestions. Clients will need to be updated by May, 2016 or so.

Thanks Blue/Cinnamon for updating the client and adding coin-control =) I updated the source files. These are not urgent and can be incorporated into the next client release: 1. Changed the reward structure as proposed earlier. Instead of 10 coins per block after block 525,600 indefinitely, reward will now be 10 coins per block after block 525,600, then 5 coins per block after block 1,051,200 with no further decreases in block reward. 2. Added a recent check point

Concerning CryptoCoinExplorer: elt.cryptocoinexplorer.comOver the last month or so, there has been more downtime then normal. This is due to server restarts by the server provider. Before the recent incidents, server restarts were a relatively rare occurrence. When CCE 3.5 was written last year, unattended restarts were not a major consideration. I do not run a startup script for CCE servers as I prefer to manually restart CCE 3.5 explorers. This is to ensure the startup goes smooth as there are a couple of issues, though rare, that could come up. Development of CCE 4 started a few months ago and the database loader is at a state that it could be deployed. The CCE 4 database loader is very restart friendly and also much more fault/error tolerant then the CCE 3.5 loader. In light of these recent events, I am going to write a modified version of the CCE 4 database loader that will work with CCE 3.5 databases. This will allow me to confidently use a server startup script to start the explorers unattended whenever there is a restart. The plan is to have this deployed over the weekend/early next week. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Concerning the CCE explorer at: elt.cryptocoinexplorer.comThe new database loader has been patched into all the explorers and restart tests were done over the last few days. I know it appears that CCE 4 is taking a long time in development, but I want to make sure that everything is running as good as possible and future improvements will not involve the amount of rewriting I am doing from 3.5 to 4.0. It took a couple of months to decide the final structure of the database loader for 4.0. The database loader is only half the equation, the web server is now the development focus and the part that will tested in the in public beta. I guess if one good thing came out of the retro fitting of 4.0, it is that the database loader code will be well tested even before the live beta. I have decided to release a base version of the database loader for 4.0 as open source. I have been taking time with the database loader (and its associated modules) to make it open source friendly. This will most likely be released at the same time CCE 4 is deployed to take advantage of the PR opportunity. I think people might be surprised at how small the modules are for the loader, but it has always been one of my goals to create explorer code as lite as possible in both length and resources. There are 4 modules that make up the database loader and combined are just shy of 800 lines. I still have more to do with the statistics module, but what will be released in the open source version is there. The CCE 3.5 web server, which is the base of writing the CCE 4.0 web server, is composed of two modules and combined is a bit over 800 lines. There are so many options being added to CCE 4 that most likely it will be offered in a tiered format. From very basic free explorers (text like with only a couple, if any, API commands) with advertisement type funding to a top tier with things like blockchain downloads updated weekly, coin client downloads, user accounts, advanced API features for statistics and "lite" clients , user and developer explorer customizations, coin website hosting and much more. Much of this is covered in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=922521.0Once a larger chunk of the new features is finalized, I will post them in the CCE 4.0 thread. Please offer any ideas for features you might want in that thread. The point is, CCE 4 is going to be a different beast from CCE 3.5. It is turning out to be a complete rewrite. I believe in the end, it will be worth the wait.

Join me on twitter tonight and you may just get a nice 'twitter tip' of Electron from meHurry up though , its headed for 2 am here and I won't be up all night !! On the development tip: I am currently experimenting with building Blake Coin , Photon, Electron , etal with newer versions of boost and qt to see if I notice performance increases........... If I find one I may upload a 'frankenstein' wallet to my github......... no noticable 'boost' as of yet in performance on win, of course I will be testing linux also but since this is designed for the end user I am looking at ways to improve the allready excellent wallets we have now !! There is a test version of Electron available with a link button in the qt wallet to the Electron Tip Bot, it is an unofficial build (as of now) Just tweet me and ask https://twitter.com/cinnamon_carter

Hi, I'm launching a new Exchange site, and I have added ELT and all coins of blake ecosystem, because seem there is no exchange for BBTC and ELT. c-patex.com Please be careful. The site is still in Beta. Do not deposit/trade big amounts. Note that ELT and all blake algo coins can be exchange by BLC (Blakecoins) (I'm still working on few small bugs. If you receive a message of "account disabled" during sign up, just ignore it) Cheers!

c-patex.com
Thanks, working fine so far Much nicer/faster than Cryptopia which I've used for the other Blake coins. Let's hope more people sign up, maybe you'll also add more coins/trading pairs later.

electron-qt 0898 for windows xxx PLEASE SEE HERE https://github.com/Electron-Coin2014/Electron-ELT/releases/tag/0.8.9.8@cinnamoncoin cinnamoncoin released this just now Assets 18.4 MB electron-qt.exe Source code (zip) Source code (tar.gz) Minor updates - Latest version of open ssl 1.0.2n Checkpoints added Other minor updates qr support working ok Checksum information Name: electron-qt.exe Size: 19311104 bytes (18 MB) SHA256: A35D62B22F4C9BD6B8390BC2E92D76707146B98BEB94AF59DA1E69EABC3CF00A OK NOTE -- MARKED AS PRE RELEASE DUE TO LIMITED TESTING !! I will update later this week after I ran more tests. Of all the blake family coins I like to call electron 'my little bad boy' .... because it seems to devour memory with a passion much more than the others and it took me two weeks to get new /updated nodes running with new checkpoints on newer versions of linux where I was confident enough to deploy them for the rest of the network. I think because the block time is shorter it is bringing out the 'future limitations' in the codebase these coins are running although we won't see these limits with photon, blake coin ect for years to come.... !! after some out of the box glitches with the code as upped to the repo right now it compiles like a dream on linux but I am still not 100% satisfied with how nodes are 'talking' to each other....... so.....here is my 'little bad boy'.... all feedback appreciated from testing. Particularly interested in memory use (on linux) and how long it takes for windows users to get the blockchain (in particular with the two new nodes Ive been running which Ive tweaked a bit for better performance) I have many ideas to test and try to improve my little bad boy's performance but will need several weeks of testing. Thanks all

My old forum account is locked out after the last password leak so I will be using this account from now on. I will put a post on the main blakecoin ann page soon. Thank you for adding ELT. I wish you the best of luck for your exchange and look forward to working with you in the future. Artie

This is to verify that the forum account of electroncoin has privately provided verification to me of his identity as the same forum account of electron-coin that I believe

Dear Blake community members, My old bitcointalk account electron-coin is locked, and I have not been able to get it reset. Apparently I never posted a BTC address to be able to sign a message for the unlock. So from now on I will be posting with this new account. I will move the Electron ELT announcement page to a new thread at some point, but this is really the main thread for the blake merged coins anyway. I have seen some very nice comments re BlakeTrader. I appreciate that. I don't anticipate I will bring it back though. I think it is important to support the exchanges. In that regard, I want to thank C-PATEX for adding Electron and all the Blake merged coins. https://c-patex.com/As to the tip bot, it was fun to interact with the core community members, but I am not sure if Twitter is the ideal platform for tipping. If there is enough community interest, I may bring back another tipping bot at some point. For now, I will be working on mostly back end stuff to strength the network. I think we have a really nice model moving forward with the merge. Some coins will stop inflating soon, but can keep difficulty up and transaction costs down with the merge. Some coins in the family will keep producing rewards to keep the miners happy and the network healthy. Finally, I want to thank Blue, CC, and John for keeping the pool, network, and development moving forward. You have my full support. We have a great community and thank you to all the community members! I am reviewing the project documents for about 4 hours. It looks like a very comprehensive project, I will invest a little for ICO. Does Elon musk really support this project?

Not sure where you're getting your info. This was not an ico and there is no involvement from Musk.
