There may also be some backlash if we cater to the whims of a few whales as opposed to the entire community. We need to weigh all the angles fairly and suggest moderate alterations which will not impact things massively. A few changes to the code may/may not be viable as the coin is already launched BUT having said that, strengthening the coin and adding new features to it does it make it progressive. However BTC is not a bad thing to emulate, I cannot think of a SINGLE POS coin which has broken any significant cap.

This is not something we can flippantly change for personal gain, coin first, community second imo

Mondays are my catch-up days and I see a few different ideas posted over the weekend and today!

I do agree this needs to be well thought out and executed. These are some major changes we are talking about, done properly and we are gone to the moon, done poorly, and well....

I'm going to go back and re-read everything, digest, and give you a few more of my thoughts in more detail, likely tomorrow.

Unofficially, I like the idea of lowering the maximum amount of coins. There is more value in scarcity. However, I'm not sure if cutting it in half is the correct way to go, especially if we want a decent amount of coins mine-able still and a good staking period. I also like the idea of cutting the halving time, but I'm not so sure about having a period of time where there is a large amount of mine-able coins.

I really like the  Nubits parking idea, it's a good solution to those would want to stake their coins but don't always keep their wallets online, and it guarantees coins won't be dumped.

Online wallet is coming with the ability to buy WKC with fiat.

The name change thing, personally I'm on the fence. I love the name Wankcoin and it's an adult related coin so I think it's okay. On the flip side, I see how making the name mainstream can open more doors. Having said that, I think the majority of merchants who are going to accept crypto currencies will use something like GoCoin or Coin Payments to process their coins, in which case Wankcoin will just be one of the many accepted, so I'm not really sure how much a name change will do for the coin.

Simply reducing coins doesn't create value. Plain scarcity doesn't create value.
If I go to my workshop and create a crazy looking piece of art out of wood and steel, it will totally unique among the whole planet, but NOBODY would want to buy it.
So scarcity doesn't mean value per se.

My personal opinion is to refrain from changing the coin at all. Keep it as close to bitcoin as possible, and strive to make it merge minable.
