As self-appointed project lead of the chrome-bitcoin project, I would like to see a standardization of API across bitcoin wallet providers so that bitcoin users can easily use multiple wallets at once.

The only way for a true API Standardization is to develop a OpenSource API Interface for them.

Then those wallet providers only have to hook and map their data source to the Standard API. This way it Wallet Providers can have their own API (if they feel its better) but still offer the standard alongside it.
