Iam curious about X11 FPGA mineing. is there any actual proof that it is real or is it all just speculation and fud, as there is no real proof that its real or even in the works at this current point, but its all over most X11 threads. does anyone have any thoughts on the facts about this?

you really think that 1 tera of gpu is real? i think not, fpga is very likely
some old fpga used to mine btc when the diff was lower, can be re-programmed to mine x11

While I agree that FPGAs are probably out or will be soonish, there are TONS of GPUs mining x11. Think about the people with 100+ GPUs sitting in a farm; all it takes is a small group of these people to rack up a TH on x11.

but thats the thing, its all speculation to weather it is possible.... no actual physical proof its actually been made or in the process of being made. yes i have seen those high numbers on many different X11 coins how ever as i has been said how do we know its just not an insanely big gpu farm, we know they exist. if it really is FPGA then who ever made a working version is doing alot to keep it quiet from the genera;l crypto population.

Other consideration is botnets, this does hash a good amount on the right cpus.

you could easily mine x11 with FPGA even with existing devices, all you would need is some incredibly talented and rare bitstream programer to write the bitstream for it.

If you want to use an FPGA right now you'll have to program it yourself. I'm sure there are people with them already, but you won't find them on the market right now.

All the calls for "prove it or it didn't happen" are kind of hilarious. Why on earth would anyone prove something to you that would remove their competitive edge? Apparently it is not hard to hide anything because most folks will only listen to spoon fed facts anyways.
Here's a fact that you can prove to yourself using a simple mining calculator like Coinwarz.com:
Your GPU rig still generates more profit with Scrypt than with X11.
Right now I mine Scrypt and sell it to buy X11 because the fervor is deeply set in and not going away any time soon. Please. Someone show me an example where they are consistently generating more BTC worth of coin per day with X11 over Scrypt. Because I would really love that.

this is not true, with wincoin for example(x11) you earn more right now than any scrypt(coinwarz, unless there are hidden scrypt coin that are more profitable) or mining jackpot with 750ti is much better than any scrypt scrypt is dead for gpu, asicfest...

This is a stupid argument and you know it. Who cares if a unknown underground sh*tcoin is more profitable for one day. Generally X11 has never been profitable to mine since "day 1". If you can do simple math with the market stats it's easy to see x11 is mined with something more efficient than GPU's. Though I have to admit that keeping an eye on x11's profitability for months now it is better now than it used to be. I guess with all the new GPU's coming into x11 and the prices rising the "mysterious hardware's" part mining x11 is becoming more marginal.

That's why it doesn't make more sense. Assuming there is a genius who has developped the code he couldn't have such a high hasrate on his own. He would have to sell the code to a few people. But we all know that people talks (profitability or not... ) Secrecy when there is such large hashrate spread all over the X11 coin, doesn't sound like secrecy because that's mean many people would have to be involved (and wouldn't be secret anymore) And assuming that Scrypt are really more profitable (didn't check) than X11, it is more likely people are moving their gpu to X11 increasing the profitability for those who stay on scrypt.

does anyone have any thoughts on the facts about this? I cannot yet say much on X11 in particular as I'm still looking at qubit (X5), so far: - Luffa is a joke. I am surprised it was proposed as a SHA candidate, even more it made a few rounds. You need far less than a talented programmer to port it.
- Cubehash seems to have been designed since day one to be super-efficient in terms of die area and I expect this to be observable on FPGAs as well
I'm stuck with SHAVite right now. The amount of math involved is crazy since it employs AES but it's nothing a mathematician cannot explain in a couple of hours... and I never had a go at cryptography up to two weeks ago. You don't need "facts" to understand someone might do FPGAs... just look at the code. It is incredibly simple. Given my experience, I hardly believe you need someone highly skilled to make this work in FPGAs.

I think sooner we might be seeing x11 Asic or fpga pre-orders if X11 coins market cap will keep on rising .
