From the press section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626751.0

Kinda weird that nobody has posted it here yet, but there we go. Effect is obvious, but when and how high?

Look inside yourself, and you will see that you are the bubble.

I've seen quite a bit of discussion about this, and it is definitely very exciting. Hard to say when it will affect price -- I'd have to think actual increased adoption based on it would lag quite behind the implementation, but the news could give us a spike in the short term, maybe.

Not promising news? It's a neat step forwards. I think it might have a little bit of potential but I can't quite put my finger on why...

It's not that big

You have to first go on another site and log on there

It will be big when you can send directly on facebook though

Hehe. That's fair enough. Facebook is all but dead to me at this point. But it is bullish news nonetheless. Glad to see more and more good news piling up for bitcoin.

ugh I hate Facebook. They'll probably end up banning it until the app developer modifies it so that they can place ads all over it and take a cut out of the payments.

To be honest, I am kind of surprised it took this long for an app like this to be developed. Is this the "killer app" we've been waiting for? I sure hope so. And yes, let's hope Zuckerboy doesn't fuck it up.

This is a good thing. You should sent at least
a small amount of bitcoin to everyone
you know. This is all about distribution
of coins and awareness.

Not THE killer app (which is probably to do with wealth preservation, obfuscation and transportation and balance settlements between large corporations). but one of the key applications right below that.

I used it today, it seemed to work, although it could have been done much better. They still have some bugs in their graphical user interface. Also, their inter-customer transactions should have no fee. It's sort of weird that they make a new bitcoin transaction when one customer sends bitcoins to the other one within the borders of their system.

That isn't a good choice to integrate Bitcoin on Facebook.

There will be much problem of safety, because many people insert easy password on their Facebook account. So, thief will increase if this happen  Grin

I would personally never trust my coins with Facebook.

Well it does seem a bit risky, that said if they used cold storage and proper security measures a reputable company would be fine
Although the NSA knowing what your balance is or asking it is a turnoff for certain.
Edit: Your right I would not trust my coins with them given their privacy policies

Privacy would be the biggest concern.

Another big concern is that facebook accounts get hacked all the time. I can't tell you how often I get spam from people on my friends list that is clearly some kind of spam bot, their account is later recovered and I see a status apologizing.
