Hello all,

As I know there are many coin devs out there, would anyone be helpful enough to show me and the community a step-by-step way to compile the -qt and daemon of bitcoin from source?

Thanks very much

EDIT: Windows directions please

Sure, I'm assuming you would like to compile on Win -- head over to nitrogenetics' Building headless Bitcoin and Bitcoin-qt on Windows

but let me warn you: it can truly be a pain to compile on Windows. Wink

Would the above method work for any alt, or only bitcoin?
