Yeah I'm not so sure about this one either. If its going to be a truly decentralised "ebay" it will no doubt end up being more of a "silk road" and couldnt Dan & Co get in trouble if this were to happen?

I think XC would do better aiming to be the currency of choice for all those kind of Markets that are already about and surely a decentralised one is on the way by now anyway.

Look thats where you got it wrong. The competition is to make it to mass market adoption. having the best tech is just one important part of this but this is not where the competition ends. It actually never ends.
