Wow every wallet is an xnode? That's amazing news, much better than dark's master nodes where it's much more tedious (plus the forks) to set up. This coin is just getting started  Smiley

Part of the problem for the price struggling is that Dan did not clearly explain this when he released REV2... this is a mistake of his.

However, it is good for anyone investing now.  Especially as Dan will be releasing formal documents explaining the tech & significance of REV2, and what it means for XC moving forward.

From an outside investor standpoint the coindesk article didn't help either.

do you mean this one?

http://www.coindesk.com/isis-bitcoin-donations-fund-jihadist-movements/

Well , Fuck Them !!, how can a crypto news site spread this biased peace of propaganda, i'm all for a peacefull contact between the coin communities, but this article should get all the hate it deserves.

No matter if you into  XC, Dark, Bitcoin, Litecoin, whatever.
Tell em where they could stick that little write up.

Something to potentially quote when the idea of blockchain-based terrorism is raised:

It is abundantly clear that the blockchain opens up an entirely new realm of benefits and risks. It is a radical game-changer.

But while the power of blockchain-based technology is immense, and while there are clear use-cases for it that are unethical, this does not amount to any kind of warrant for the alternative: vast data mining of personal information, internet architecture not optimised to protect individual liberty and privacy, and the opportunity for any party sufficiently powerful to abuse human rights to get its way.

To cast blockchain technologies as unethical due to the risks is therefore unwarranted because the alternatives are not more ethical. It's also to refuse to play a game that, henceforth, the world simply has no option but to play. Blockchains are here, and there's no making them go away.

So onward is the only option presented to the world. As such, XC is committed to the ethical use of its technology. Just as legal systems and taxation are "technologies" that regulate the old systems, completely new technologies, conceived along radically different political lines, will be required to allow humanity to thrive in a blockchain-based world. This is the irresistible future, and XC will co-create it with the highest and most optimistic of expectations.

Hi Everyone,

I've just started working on the forum theme, if all things align we might also update to the latest release of IBP.

Dan can you explain how to test Rev.2 on the test net, and when to wait Rev.2 on the main net?
May be short FAQ?

Hi all

As promised, we will be making another announcement today.

This announcement is tech-related, and will happen at 2pm EST.

It's not related to Rev 2, it's new. However it has no impact on the pace of Rev 2's coming onto the mainnet.

You have reason to be excited.

No no. Be careful what you assume. By not specifying a degree of excitement I do not thereby suggest you get overexcited.

But there is reason to be excited.

I exaggerate a bit, the first announcement is a big one, just more "theoretical" than expected Smiley

Good luck!

Wow, the last 12 hours have been intense.
Some of the criticism was needed and justified, much was over the top and unwarranted.

I will say that everyone needs to get on the same page within the team and keep the communication open to the ones here that have thousands invested.  With that being said, it was probably hard last night to come up with a statement that did not cause panic one way or the other.

I have all the confidence in the world that as XC continues to grow, the ship will get much tighter, and everyone will do their best to avoid these situations.

Keep up the hard work guys.

by the way, love the look of the website.  not your average Crypto cut and paste site.

Don't get wrong. You think that dev team like this after one time whey did a little mistake going to do it again? I think they have learnt and not going to repeat it. Get some real reasons to write about, while just repeating things, whose was repeated 100x times before your post

But what we have achieved is a world first. Until today, there has never been a decentralised trustless mixer. And now there is, in the app you downloaded today.

I've been saying for a while that XC is not semi-centralised, therefore no "security bottleneck" in the form of supernodes.

Well, with Rev 2 every singe wallet is automatically an Xnode. It's completely decentralised.

This should address people's questions about how to set up an Xnode in Rev 2. It's set up already. Just start testing it, and track what it does in the blockchain.

Updates will be very frequent and the app will go onto the mainnet in due course.

We're also unveiling the promised announcements today and tomorrow, and they're no less positive.

Arlyn

Speechless... what REV2 contains is beyond huge.  Every wallet an xnode...?  This is true decentralization... not a semi-centralized solution that you'll find in our closest competitors.

I am literally shocked that this tech milestone alone has not taken XC's price to an ATH... and the only reason it has not yet, from what I can conclude, is that the markets are ignorant to the fact & significance of REV2

Mind. Officially. Blown.

So how does the xc app know how many coins to reserve for the xnode and from which address? Is it enough to just put 550 coins in the wallet and it will work? but what if I want those coins to stake instead of being used for the xnode reserve. These and many more I hope will be cleared as soon as possible.

Any chance of releasing a node or two before faq? Need to stat mining on test net before I can test.

I heard that you can stake and use xnode at the same time. But not sure about this.
