Hi Fellow Miners
This is Jarvis from Panipat Haryana Roll Eyes.
I came across this mining stuff a bit lately. I was planning to invest on 2 no. R9 270 .
Consider me as semi NOOB Huh Huh
To mine at a. Hash rate of 800 KH/s at least and can add my 5770 Xfx to add some more. I have a TX750 PSU.
Is it OK to invest now? 35K have to invested. I am worried about the income. Is it possible to get back 35 K in 3 Months. My electricity cost is Rs.7.50 per KWattHour.
I am also confused about how to make BTC or LTC to INR. I heard about "wemineltc" as a good pool miner and charge 1%. Can you give me a link . how to have a BTC and LTC account and how to collect pooled money to them.
Actually I am a bit confused. I hope you will be helpful .
Please guide.
Thanks in advance.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

If you are mining for your income,  you will need to invest a lot more than that.
If its just stuff on the side , then yes.
You should be able to breakeven roughly in a 100 days, but currencies are very volatile and thats not a given.
At the present time, there are many coins which are more profitable than BTC/LTC to mine. Consider one of those instead and switch to the currency that you prefer.

Thanks for your reply.
I like to get some side income  by mining .
Even the market is volatile . Some return is expected. Please suggest something which is better than BTC / LTC. DOGE is OK to invest right now? Since altcoins are more volatile than base coins. I am confused. Can you please suggest, since I have a limited source to invest.
Your help is appreciated .

Well, I personally believe in the long term prospects of Doge.
Coin profitability fluctuates quite rapidly and Doge is not the most profitable right now to mine.
I generally mine whats profitable at the moment and convert to BTC/LTC/Doge.
www.coinwarz.com is a good calculator.

Thanks for your precious suggestion. Smiley
I think Doge is  SHA256 type ency. In terms of investment what i calculated is if I have to invest 35 K the maximum SHA256 hashes 15MH/s which on the other hand is not too profitable also in the worst case scenario i.e sell it for 2nd hand. On the Other hand  Using 2 Nos. R9 270X and Overclock them to meet 1200 KH/s (Scrypt) and mine LTC is profitable.

Since the difficulty of BTC is Higher than LTC.

Please suggest . I need your expert Advice. Roll Eyes

1. First of all DOGE is not SHA256, it uses Scypt algo.

2. Don't mine BTC (or) LTC directly, Mine Altcoins and then convert them to BTC in the exchange.

I suggest one of the following options based on your available time, interest...etc factors.

Option-1: Use http://www.coinwarz.com/ to identify yourself the most profitable coin and mine them.
(OR)
Option-2: Use https://www.multipool.us/ site, These people will automatically mine the most profitable coin & do the auto switching for mining. So you don't need to worry about switching between coin.
(OR)
Option-3: Use http://www.middlecoin.com/ site, These people will automatically mine the most profitable coin & as well trade with the most profitable exchange and finally convert them to BTC and credit to your address.

You will get at max 450-480Khs on a single 270x. That's with overclocking and temps of  80+.
Try the new Nvidia GTX 750 Ti / Ti Boost. It only gives you 250-280 Khs per card so you will have to put more cards in, BUT
Its priced at 10k and the kicker is 60W power utilization.
The Khs/Rs is equivalent to the AMD cards but at the Khs/W ratio is amazing.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but i had a similar query to OP and did not want to start a new thread!
Are there any calculators that can help me calculate the profitability of LTC similar to the vnbitcoin calculator? I feel that calculator is very robust and covers all aspects. Is scrypt mining more profitable now seeing that the difficulty is low and everyone is now focused on mining BTC? Huh

You can use http://www.coinwarz.com for profit calculation and select which is your most profitable coin according to your hashrate and algo

Scrypt mining is not profitable with a GPU right now. if you have the investment try gridseed blade or more powerfull scrypt-asics in the market now. they are most probably readily available

Too late now. You can try mining the so called ASIC resistant coins.

The landscape changes very fast when it comes to cryptocurrency.
