Yes you heard correctly.  I will sell you virtual bitcoins and accept payment with a credit card.

Price will be 10% over Mt. Gox lowest ASK price. Maximum order is $500.

You must:

Meet me in person and present your credit card and photo ID
Sign the credit card receipt

That's it.

I am in Orlando.  PM me if you are interested.

Do you expect high fraud still? Or is the 10% mostly for your time?

the 10% covers my cost, my time, and the risk involved.  I should charge alot more, but I'm trying to make it convenient for people to get started with small amounts of bitcoins, so they can see what its all about.

Nice 10% isn't bad on a small amount, and I see you don't want to go over $500 anyway. And.. I guess people already have solutions for larger amounts, a $50 wire fee doesn't matter so much on 1k+ orders.

Even if someone paid with a credit card that met you, and showed you photo ID, and signed the receipt, can do a chargeback, and you couldnt do a thing about it.

I dare someone to try.

I'm trying to help the newbie who wants to buy $20-$100 worth to get started.  This is a good option, and we'll see how it goes.

Well there are many things that could be done about it.  Most of them legal   Grin

Lawsuits.  Fraud charges.

The main risk would be everything was fabricated, which at these dollar amounts would not be worth it.  If you had a someone elses credit card and wanted to use it to steal, you would be better off using it to buy items at a big store where it would be written off.  Not dealing with an individual who has far more incentive to deal with getting back at you.

True, there's the chance it's a fake, be sure to look at all the fancy shit on the ID to make sure it's real (even though that's 100% fakeable, I don't think someone would go to the effort to make a good fake for less than 500 dollars

Fake ID's, old addresses. someone elses credit cards, All too possible.

The cops wouldnt say shit to someone "bitcoins", if they even know what it is. They would laugh at you.
