I have a question: What is considered spam, and what is not?

More specific: I have done a few Bitcoin oriented software tutorial videos. Can I post them somewhere on this forum (if yes, where?), or would that be considered spam? I have no intention of spamming or breaking any forum rules, hence the question.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

You may post the videos in a single thread under Beginners & Help section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0). This would actually serve the purpose of helping Beginners with tutorial.

Video tutorials won't be considered as spam unless you started spamming the links all over the forum.

As to what is considered spam, nobody can give you any strict rules or fixed guidelines but just try to keep posts relevant and constructive to the discussion/topic. You'll soon find out with a weeks ban if your posts aren't up to scratch haha, but I'm sure you'll be ok.

Spam is something that either is breaking the rules in stickies in various subforums or is overall low quality, off-topic or intended to advertise. Seems like in your case it should be OK.

Different definitions for spam, and I think people use separate ones on different occasions. For example, one could be taking quantity over quality. Or just making low quality posts in general.

Spam meaning was not really intended to what you guys gave meaning to. Spam was originally unwanted Emails.  Forums had later adopted the meaning for someone who constantly posts junk messages.    Message could even be high quality but anything that is not related to a topic can be spam, spam is unwanted advertising.  Mrprep meaning of spam is the TOS.
