But i had this idea - what are we doing to promote this coin in the OPEC countries ?
Actually, what are they using ? Do they use facebook ? twitter ? do they have their own social medias ? Business web pages ? News web pages ?
Isnt it actually the best idea to point some advertisement in this direction ? Get some people who speak the respective languages and get some info/news/infographic etc on there ?

We are in the process to formally approach OPEC organization. One possible direction that might be of interest is if OPEC coin is backed by the value of daily oil production (or maybe moving average over N days) of OPEC member countries. In this way trading in OPEC coin would be equivalent to trade in the price of oil and daily oil output - it will be a financial instrument that is currently not available in the market and might gain some traction.
OPEC's working language is English as this is a diverse organization with member states from Arab world, Latin America and Iran. It is not clear how to localize the approach as the organization is truly global.

We will try to be heard by the organization using any possible mean - emails, phone calls, writing articles, etc. Community is very welcome to help. Obviously, this is not an easy task and no one is saying that we will be successful but it is worth trying.
I don't understand your cynicism - what do you want to prove? If you are an investor you should attach a probability that the coin is successful and multiply that probability with the value if successful, this should give you the fair market price today. It is your decision whether to be part of the community and try to increases our chances. If you don't believe doesn't mean that everyone should give up. By the same token today bitcoin would be long forgotten.

Why would oil companies pick OPEC over any other coin, specifically the better and more known ones? What does OPEC offer that other coins don't? Right now I don't see any unique features, let alone features that might cater to the oil industry. Maybe come up with a credit card that you can use to pay with opecs at the gas stations, I dunno. Or add anonymity, as I'm sure most of the elitist in the oil industry would want to make anonymous transactions for one reason or anther.  Right now, it's just a regular pos coin. Your focus is 1opec=1barell of oil, but it should be to try to make this coin better. I really want to invest, but I can't find a good reason to invest atm (also its being dumped to oblivion..multipools might be obliterating this coin to the grave).

Facebook, Twitter, local newspaper, english speaking radio stations....all are being very popular. I've sent a PM to the dev. but no reply so far. I had a very good ideea, I would say....let's see what will happen
