Whose would be the highest ?

Phinnaeus Gage seems like a good guess because he has the largest post count (IIRC) , Vod seems to be everywhere , but more than that , what about the Moderators and Global Mods and Admins. It is their job to look at as many posts.

So , come speculate with me. Please refrain from a single username , try to tell me why you think so.

EDIT: If it is not clear , I mean an indicator showing the total percentage of posts read out of the total posts on the forums.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I don't understand why would you want this, post count Is already an indicator of this I think, and you can't really tell If a person read the thread or he just clicked It and backed In 2 seconds. Seems a strange and useless idea for me  Undecided

Shouldn't this be here?: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

The Rock Trading Exchange forges its order books with bots, uses them to scam customers and is trying to appropriate 35000 euro from a forum member https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4975753.0

This is not a suggestion.
I just wanted to speculate who would have read the most posts on the forum.

What's really the point? It would automatically be PG. Every post he has, he had to revisit the topic, and, other posts. I don't even think Vod is in the top ten for posts.

Forum posts read? You mean how many posts the user has viewed/read or how many people have read/seen their posts? There would be no way to tell either way. The most posts read would probably correlate to time logged in though maybe.

Here are the users who have visited the greatest number of distinct topics (in descending order). malevolent has visited about 50,000, while Phinnaeus Gage has visited about 15,000. (The forum keeps track of the last post you've read in every topic that you've visited, which allows me to figure this out.)

To be honest, I'm a bit surprised I'm not on that list from all the lurking. Any chance you could check my profile for this bit of information?

You've read 5194 unique topics. To get into the top 200, you need ~8500.

It'd be kind of cool to make this stat available all the time, but it'd immediately become worthless because it's so easy to artificially inflate...

Thanks for the info! As far modifying the stat, maybe make it where it only counts 1 unique thread per minute or so? This way, someone can't just go through a bunch of pages and center click on them all.

Then again, that's over complicating something for a non-functional feature.

Well, at least I'm on one of the top lists - the lurker list Grin. Even more than Phinn. Cheesy.

Back on topic, maybe this could be added to the Stats page.

<3 theymos.

I drew three conclusions:-

If there is any topic , there is a one in six chance that malevolent has gone through the topic already.

Most posts on the top pages would have been read by multiple moderators already. If a post falls in the ethical grey area , it is not report worthy unless it is relatively new.

Phin is one of those people who can't keep their mouth shut in real life and just say whatever first comes to their mind.. He has almost 1.4 posts per topic visited. That implies that he posts on almost every topic that he has ever checked and multiple times on many.

My way of browsing the forum is via "Recent Unread Topics". I click on a bunch of threads within a few seconds, then I read them all. Go to another RUT page, repeat. This throttling would deflate my stats (not that I care!) and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

You're not. I once got IP-banned for opening so many threads simultaneously that I was mistaken for a DOS attacker. That's why I'm not surprised to be the #1 non-mod thread-reader. Grin

I wonder if theymos would be annoyed if everyone started asking for their individual stats.
Maybe it could be added with an asterisk or something saying 'Warning : Not an actual indicator of forum activity' or something ?
Without anyone knowing it , it seems to be a pretty good indicator.

Lurker status confirmed.
