Are there any plans for development beyond the current functions? Please excuse my ignorance but in my research a lot of the cannabis coins don't have any vital function for users or businesses. Is it possible to implement other functions without switching blockchains or algorithms? I don't understand how the blockchain and applications like wallets work or if this is even possible. Ever thought about a re-branding/re-naming? I'm from the US, a very heavy cannabis user and investor in the US/Canadian Cannabis stock market, as well as a good background in the sale of paraphernalia, and with research done in plant physiology and I feel like bongger is a name unique to this coin. I haven't heard it used in conversation or pop culture references. Either way Ill still support this coin as I try to do all cannabis coins and appreciate the work done so far on the project.



The low coin supply and history make Bongger a really good Cannabis based cryptocurrency contender if we can pick up interest. I think they all will rise in value but only the ones that provide unique functions will be mass adopted.


Another question I have, will keeping the wallet open help the network by acting like a seed to other users? Are there any other ways to support the network aside from mining? If it helps I can run a node at my home and office if it will help distribute files.

Yes!!! We have many plans for the Bongger. Currently we are working on adding payments facility to Bongger in order for merchants to easily accept Bongger payments for the customers smart phone using the same technology as credit cards. We will also be officially releasing a mobile app and a web app wallet to make it easier to store your Bonggers and make payments with them. We are also working with a few merchants that are interested in adopting Bongger as their form of payment. There are other plans and features that we will also be announcing in the coming weeks and months but we don't want to give away our ideas until they are implemented.

Some functions can be implemented without hardforking (switching blockchains). Other functions require hardforking. If and when those functions, that require hardforking,  would be implemented it would have to be coordinated and agreed upon by the exchanges and Bongger holders in order to adopt. Those changes are more complicated to implement as they have to be changes that the community feels will be helpful and add more value to the coins/tokens.
Yes keeping your wallet open on will help and mining the coin helps out additionally since it builds and adds processing power to the network.

I've pointed an L3 at the p2pool01.bongger.com:7072 but pool side shows just a small fraction of the machine rate (50KH).

It appears the entire BGR network is about 500MH so something  seems weird.  What  am I missing?

What are you using? CGMiner? Whats your command line?

The initial difficulty on the p2pool's at bongger.com is set extremely low (at 1), raising the initial difficulty, or adding in a port with a higher difficulty would help a lot.   I couldn't really hook up to the pool effectively with only 12 MH
